FI_FlimFlam
It's not likely. First off, both the client and the dedicated server will attempt to suck up nearly 100% of your cpu cycles on a single core. Since you are runing dual core it's possible to isolate one instance to each core. HOWEVER next you are going to have a problem with the client communicating with the server via IP. There is no way to specify an IP address for the server or the client and you are going to conflict. Unless someone knows something I don't I doubt you will be able to over come this. That is why there is the non-dedicated server for playing and hosting at the same time. That way it uses only one instance of the game. But of course that's not dedicated and won't run 24/7. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. As far as playing on the same LAN with different computers, the simpleset way is to add the server as a favorite with the local IP address instead of your gateway address. That way the communication between your client and server never leaves your LAN and you shouldn't have an issue with packets for both the client and server going to the same gateway IP. A NAT router probably should be able to handles this but it might be your sticking point. Others should have no problem joining provided you have opened up the correct ports on your router/firewall. This is the same way I hosted initially when testing our server.
