Weapons mods

I'm not talking about getting (lets say the m4 sopmod) to work only for myself, but for whoever has the mod installed and wants to use whatever non-default guns and still prevent whatever cheaters can do to cheat in GR:AW.

I'm pretty nieve when it comes to the in's and out's of GR:AW. Or would there be a way to run these weapons and the anti-cheat funtion on my own server because by me reading this here what I just typed and asked, it would seem wrong to go to anothers server with better guns than they have. Hence in my eyes...cheating.

That would be the only form of cheating I've really thought of, or maybe if someone made a sensor mod for GR:AW that might have actually been a cool option if ubisoft had incorporated a 20m sensor to the small arsenal in GR:AW.

As far as I know you can't have it both ways. Anti-cheat checks for different files, period.

We had it off and you could use whatever weapons mod you wanted. Once it was enabled

you couldn't join the server at all. Remove the english directory where the mods live and

'poof, you're good'.

As long as you have the EXACT same mod as the server, you should be able to join in with the AC on. I thought the AC checked for different files compared to the servers, not the vanilla game. This includes little things, like adjusted HUDs, skins, etc.

True, and recently we seem to have the somewhat small community of graw in agreeance on the need to chill the GL, and the spawn nades......maybe we need a little freshness and introduce skins and weapons mods to spice things up. It does suck butt to be so limited in weapondry and it really sucks butt that one team is olive drab while the other looks like a bright tan wax figure. How realistic is that? The moral of the story is that we wont be able to change anything unless we can agree to as a community. I dont know if weapons modes and skinz can be added to the downloads the way the map_downloads.xml stuff works.....i cant figure out a way anyhow.....but some brain out there should be able to come out with a module that we can install to do it.

As far as I was aware the A/C option checks for any files different from install time. I have had dedicated server up and running which was a copy of my home install, therefore had OGN V2 Mod in the english folder but I could not join my server.

I shall do some testing today though to confirm this as I like the idea of having mods allowed but all on the same mod. I disable the GL's as mod'd GL's ruin a game as you have idiots going round GL'ing the whole map which causes lag and is cheating in my book.

However playing GRAW with no weapons mods at all feels like going into battle with 100 rocks in the back pack and a stick to throw at them..

Can anyone confirm if server does check for matches on files?
