Sleepdoc-iBeta
Hi Rocky, I see that you authored this technique post for unlocking all campaign missions. http://www.ghostrecon.net/faqs/index.php?a...&artlang=en I'm not quite sure what I am doing wrong, but it seems to have no effect? I have opened the xml files in notepad and made the appropriate exchange of values (using cut and paste directly from your post, so as to avoid human keyboard entry errors) but the available missions to me in campaign remain exactly what they were before. Is there some other step I need to do? Thank you, Glenn aka Sleepdoc Edited February 2, 2007 by Sleepdoc
Rocky
Hi Sorry for the late reply. That tip came from this post, I think coming originally from Colin. I have not tried it persoanlly, but I will shortly... standby...
Rocky
Yep it does work. Are you editing the correct profile.xml? If you have more than one profile make sure the edited profile is the one being used. Once it's edited you can selected any mission via the "Play Mission" button. Colin
Shortcut Rock. To unlock the missions, edit your profile.xml file with these values <campaign_last_event value="7361766567616d65" /> <campaign_progress value="21090307140200" /> be sure to back up old file first. Rocky
Yeh, that's the code he has tried, and it didn't work for him.
Sleepdoc-iBeta
Yeh, that's the code he has tried, and it didn't work for him. Well. I'm obviously missing something here, becuase is simply isnt working. Here are teh details of my issue. 1. I am clear on the different profiles and their unique xmls. so just ot be sure, i opened both profiles that i have (default and sleepdoc) and cut and paste the new vlaues over the old ones on both files (using notepad) and saved them both. 2. Campaign/play mission option from the main screen, i only see the first mission (Contact) and have no means to pick anything. Clearly, the list is not showing up as there is quite a bit of space under the "Contact" entry for the other missions to be listed. But they are not. If wither of you (Rocky or Colin) wouldn't mind, please contact me on xfire (Sleepdoc) or PM me with some other means for chat or voice comms (Like teamspeak) and ill bet a few qiuck questions will break this stalemate. Anything either of you cvan do to help me get over this hump would be greatly appreacited. Glenn aka Sleepdoc
JASGripen
If you unlock the missions, you can then begin a campaign anywhere. Or is it just one-off missions?
Kingkat
That doesn't work for me either, so its not just you. The first "value" is already there. The other one has to be input. Besides, you can play 'em all in a LAN set up right..? Kingkat.............
NoQuarter
For the record my profile.xml shows these tag as having the following values <campaign_last_event value="7361766567616d65" /> <campaign_progress value="252e223e243e3b3126" /> and a quick check of the profile.xml.bin shows the same. Could it be a conflict between these two files (and the differing tags) that is causing the issue, or is the .bin file being appended? Might help if someone having this problem would move the profile.xml.bin to a temp folder (or rename it), open up the game and see if the missions appear in the scroll box; or use this value. Just to double-check I substituted the original value with the one from the FAQ and no joy...Contact was the only mission displayed. Replaced the original and I'm back in business (all 11). Different (regional) versions? (US-retail, CD)
