Rocky
This is a direct quote from Ubisoft. We noticed today that a mistake was made on the release schedule regarding the GRAW 2 PC date. Currently is (sic) says the 9 of March, it should actually say the 30th of March. This is not a delay in production but a simple mistake in the calendar. Please feel free to inform you (sic) contacts of this. Looking back over the Ubi release schedules, this does tie in with the date the published back on the 18th of Dec 2006, so forget the conspiracies - it's a genuine mistake. Peace
Why no tell UBI to update the http://www.ghostrecon.com/us/ghostrecon3/t...cal-info.php#pc too It still reads for GRAW PC info "coming soon" (note, it is about GRAW not GRAW 2)
Rocky
Why no tell UBI to update the http://www.ghostrecon.com/us/ghostrecon3/t...cal-info.php#pc too It still reads for GRAW PC info "coming soon" (note, it is about GRAW not GRAW 2) Ubi have always had a problem keeping all their portals and various webpages up to date with current information. Rough deal for the fans because it cause no end of bickering, especially the "it's not official until I read it on Ubisoft" cry that usually get's thrown back at times like this. mwgfghost
Well I believe em. It's why I like this site better than the actual GRAW site. This one keeps us posted. That's too bad though I was hoping it would be the 9th cause that would mean I'd only have to wait 5 days after my birthday. Now I gotta wait 26. Oh well. Small price to pay. Keep up the good work guys.

muzzleflash
Any word on specs? I am barely able to play GRAW now. No money for an upgrade. A new mountain bike comes first. Thanks in advance.

I agree, Keeping Portals up to date its a real Problem, but why does the largest Games Editor Company does not, and I repeat, does not! have a MWCM (Main Web Content Manager)? Concept Dep. --> Board --> Development --> Marketing --> Public Information: - Press; - Rumors...; - Portals; Gess what! Portals requiere mantainance, so they require organization... then someone to lead the Web Content should be in order?! Maybe I'm wrong... Hang on GR|AW community! Go Ubi! Go <deleted> GJ GR.NET! I did the edit you missed, try and keep it civil, Rocky. Edited January 27, 2007 by Rocky

maltgoblin
I will be on cloud nine if they put back the [GR] controls/fluidness along with the mousewheel operating the zoom. I could see tons of people who use to play [GR] coming back if that is the case. Either way, I am waiting on reviews from old GR players before shelling out the cash for a product whose makers never even played the original GR. Another version of GRAW will just end up in the trash can.
Troutmaster
Hm! I see they talk about a quick saving feature. That’s about bloody time. But not during fighting!? No mentioning of mode (de)activation as in GR. Nope, this time they will not get me to any pre ordering, that is for sure. Wait and se, best option, I think. Colin
So we get our version later, screens later, video footage later, game details later, isnt it great being a pc gamer.
Hockeystick
How about letting GRIN release the screens and videos instead of UBI? Once again the 360 version gets dev diaries and early screens and a lot of gameplay videos and all we PC gamers get is 6 screens
rookie
all we PC gamers get is 6 screens Jup and then only the photoshopped ones. I wonder how long it will be before we see the first longer gameplay-video, so we can see the differences(or not) for ourselves. In which month GRAW PC has been officially delayed from March until early May last year ? Or is Ubi planning on doing GRAW 2 PC like Vegas PC and release about 5 screens and then- whoops release-day, go pick it up in the store.................NOT. Joseph_Q
In which month GRAW PC has been officially delayed from March until early May last year ? GRAW release days were something like 11.05 -> 02.06 -> 03.06 -> 05.06 Most of delays were announced ( proudly ) about 2 weeks before release day. NoQuarter
Here's an idea... why doesn't a mod/supporter start a poll (think pool) for the release date of :AW2? Nothing major...the prize could be a Ubisoft logo'd mouse pad or an economy-sized bottle of aspirin (for the aftermath). I have first dibs on 31-05-07. What can I say, I'm an optimist. You must have the maps due to the lightmaps being in the map bundle, which can't be run serversided. So you'll always have to download th maps. EDIT: But isn't the download automatic for map bundles when connecting to the server and you're mising one? I've herd it is. But I'm no online player so wouldn't know. JASGripen
No, only the currently played map gets DL, you can join the server only after quitting the game; starting it again (which takes time if you got +100 custom maps). Then when the next custom map gets loaded on the server you will get kicked from server because you don't got the then current custom map (which happens soon as the original custom map has been played while you were out cooking). This should be fixed, I mean a freeware as ET got better routines for custom maps.

Kingkat
My guess is that UBI will release the 360 version March 6th...like the game sites say............ This puts it ahead of the PC version by a couple of weeks. THEN, after the frenzy dies down, the PC version will begin to see a media blitz........... or at least I hope so............ that would give them some time to release a "demo" too.................. Kingkat............ ............besides I want the "Count Down To Release Day" timer back...........
