Calgar99
And here we go again. Remember the pointless threads about demos and release dates. I hate to be the one to start them again but this is what I found. Take with a grain salt. Quote: Expect to sling on your goggles, reload your firearms and refresh your cross-com skills in an all new GRAW 2 demo - due to land on Xbox Live by this months end... if sources close to the production of the title are to be believed. see link http://www.oxm.co.uk/articles/news/strateg...demo_inbound..... For some reason the link won't work you should find it on the news page of oxm.co.uk Edited January 23, 2007 by Calgar99

For some reason the link won't work you should find it on the news page of oxm.co.uk "Expect the first demo to be single player, as advertised on Ubisoft's own homepage, with a possible multiplayer effort to follows in its Bafta award winning predecessors boot-prints somewhere along the line. Rocky
Yeh it's true, demo on the X360 "soon", and that's official. The only thing is, Ubisoft are only telling people using Internet Explorer. The explanation, goes something like this... rather than post a news item at ghostrecon.com for all to see, Ubisoft had a flash banner commissioned to advertise the demo, and displayed it at the top of this Ubi forum page. Only seeing a white box? That's because the banner only shows in Internet Explorer, not Firefox, and if Ubi's visitors stats mirror GR.nets, that means more than half of their forum visitors only see a white box instead of the demo announcement. So, comical announcement aside, good news, DEMO "SOON" !!!

"You have got to be kidding me!....You've gotta be kidding me!" ~Cody Maverick. Seriously, what the fish? This just make me want to go get a tin foil hat and start reminicing about good old paranormal conspiracy theories and why GRAW PC was 2 months after the x360 version with an influx of xbox 360 premiums showing up in stores. This however, sounds so plausible and intentional it's funny. But maybe not, maybe just a mistake on the designer's part. I use Firefox at work on Linux and IE7 on XPpro at home so I'm constantly annoyed by not being able to look at things that require non-linux apps like media player or flashv90. Oh yeah...cool that a demo is soon, though my intial reading on the front page thought it was for PC.
Rocky
Oh yeah...cool that a demo is soon, though my intial reading on the front page thought it was for PC. A single player demo for Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 on the Xbox 360 is coming "soon". Come on dude!
Cobblers
UBIRazz, a CM for the UBI forums has also publicly come out and confirmed the date for a demo of GR:AW for the XBOX 360. UBIRazz's post from UBI forums... He goes to say "Yes, 9th March for the 360 version." & "9th March is UK only, I have no idea about any other country - sorry!" I meant my intial instantaneous reaction to the green headline, which is what headlines are designed to do, give you a reaction to find out more. And this being more of a PC player populated board, my reaction was that it might mean the PC version(though I doubted it). I guess in my mind I thought it would mention the 360 in the headline if it wasn't for PC, so yeah quickly reading the paragraph relays this info, but there is that split second when all you see is the headline and for a moment you really don't know for which platform. By putting "on the Xbox 360" in bold and larger in your quote, you're just further emphasizing the effectiveness of headlines, or in this case, the lack of information in the headline. It's not right or wrong, it's just the way I saw it and given certain presumptions about this site, I assumed things even if just for a split second. Just incase there is any confusion, Razz is posting about the full retail release, not the demo. The March 9th date is the full retail UK release date. The demo is out "soon".
