ReconSnake 0
How do you edit the weapons/kits to remove those items that you don't want available while your mod is running?
Suicide Commando 0
If you want to remove the original kits the way most modders do it is by editing the kit path in all of the players actor files. I think there's around 400-something altogether. For instance all the standard rifleman have a "rifleman" kit path, you'd want to change that to "Force Recon Rifleman" for instance. Make sure you don't overwrite the originals too, just put an actor folder in your mod and include all the modified actor files that reflect the changed kit path. Hope this was somewhat clear. ReconSnake 0
Just to make sure, I need to change the target path for every actor? Sigh... Will that also take care of multiplayer? Edited April 16, 2003 by ReconSnake
Suicide Commando 0
Yeah that's the only way or at least the most common one I've seen. No you have to do something else for MP. You have to edit/make a .kil file that goes in your kits folder. Those will dictate what weaps show up during MP. I don't know a whole hellova lot about this aspect though, wish I could be of more help.
billee 0
ReconSnake - Download an application called Ultraedit (ultraedit.com). It's got a fantastic "Find and Replace across multiple files" function. It'll go through replacing your kitpaths in a few seconds. We use the full product at work but I think the trial version will also have this function. An absolute godsend. Any Qs - get in touch.

Piccolo 0
I also recomend BK ReplaceEm: http://www.orbit.org/replace/ I found it to work quite well while I was making SEALs.
