I did a search and didn't see it posted here... which really surprises me knowing this crowd.

Metal Storm is a hand gun that can fire 16,000 rounds per second.

The company also has a grenade launcher that fires a quarter of a million rounds a minute. Talk about fire power.

I want one. :santa:

Seen it and have been tracking it.

The problem is that while it supports a million rounds per min or sec (whatever)....umm....how they going to store enough ammo??

That is true. The bullets are still in a cartridge whereas the Dread shoots rounds that do not need a cartridge allowing 50,000 round capacities with 7.62mm ammo.

Either way, this is still a devasting tool to use in warefare.

Seems like a good idea for deployment on a ship or for air defense, but seems odd when used as a personal weapon. I just find the idea that for the first rounds fired you have very little barrel length from the fired round disconcerting ...

Yeah, I just dont know how the whole ammunition thing is gonna work out.

Soldier_Bob: OPFOR APPROACHING!!!!

Soldier_Jim: Oh noes! But our ammunition supply was used in the Metal Storm when we ambushed that convoy this morning!

Soldier_Jim: We're doomed!!!

I mean geez, besides, pretty much a waste of ammunition on some targets.
