magnumkp 0
What sort of monitor are you using? TFT's and laptops can usually only "do" 60hz as they don't work in the same way as normal ones. Usually it is in control panel/display/settings and advanced. Updated drivers recently?

Stinger 0
Go to your Desktop, then Right Click on the desktop and go to properties. Now go to the Settings tab and then click on Advanced. Finally go to the Monitor tab and select your desired and SUPPORTED* highest refresh rate. *-If you go to high it coul cause damage to your monitor.
Meth 0
I have an LCD monitor that was running 60 hz. Then I downloaded a program called NVRefresh and now it runs at 75 hz. You can find the program on Download.com

magnumkp 0
Meth: LCD monitors do not have to refresh quicker than 60hz due to the way they "update". Normal screens scan from top to bottom, when it has draw the last line it goes to the top, hence the flicker. Because on LCD screens the cells are either on, or off. They can't be inbetween, thus no flicker, and no need for a higher refresh rate.
Stinger 0
Swartz dont do it. If it isnt supported dont do it. Magnum exlpained it well. And LCD's arent very good for gamin anyways. Save a couple hundred bucks and get a good CRT.
Meth 0
swart I dont recommend you get an LCD if you are planning to do a whole lot of gaming for reasons stated above. However if you already have an LCD then try the program out. Main reason I went for an LCD: More deskspace It has its flaws but alot of the newer LCD monitors run games fine and you hardly notice any ghosting. Turning vsync off also helps.
