Commander Outcast
Hey guys. I took a try at skinning a blackhawk. It turned out well, but in-game the blackhawk is a big black blob.I save the files to DDS-dxt5 like the original. but it still wont work. Commander Outcast
ALright i tried marines too and it didnt work....But i put toghter a rar thing with em in there as bmps. If some one would take em and make them the right type of file I'd be real happy. http://files.filefront.com/grawskinsrar/;6...;/fileinfo.html
SnowFella
You'r probably forgetting to flatten all of the layers before you save it as a .dds file, if you don't do this the whole texture will end up all black.

tilliboy
Could someone just do it for me plz? I cant figure out how to flatten with he gimp =/ I moved to linux in the last few month so I'm training with the gimp too, to flatten layer with gimp you should go to the layer menu' and select "Merge down" or "Anchor Layer" or from the image menu you can select "Flatten Image" or "Merge visible layer".You can try with the ctrl+m key command also and In this way it should work. PenguinGeneral
did you save in DXT5 format? it usually isn't the standard setting on your graphic converter
Commander Outcast
yeah. IT works. But when I go to fletten it in the gimp, the texture has thegrey checkered squares (which is the render thing) all over, and its 9 layers. When I flatten it, its all negative. What and blue.Same on the black hawk.
