Transfer to NPC marines

Is it possible to change the player and teammate models to the NPC Marine models?

Yes. Just change which model should be used for them.

1. Extract bundle into folder called mod and set content file as usual.

2. Find:

C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter\local\mod\units\beings\u_usa.xml

C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter\local\mod\units\beings\u_teammates.xml

3. Open u_usa.xml and find a line where the us marine models are used (line 87 for example).

4. Copy entry: <model file="/beings/us_marine/us_marine.xml"/>

5. Open u_teammates.xml and replace all entries in the list bellow with the one copied earlier.

<model file="/beings/ghost_lead/ghost_lead.xml"/>

<model file="/beings/ghost_brown/ghost_brown.xml"/>

<model file="/beings/ghost_kirkland/ghost_kirkland.xml"/>

<model file="/beings/ghost_allen/ghost_allen.xml"/>

And now you have the marine model for all teammates in all modes.

EDIT: I may break somewhere in case some animations aren't available for that model or something like that, but it worked for as far as I tested it. Haven't got to much knowledge on how the models in GRAW are setup.

U.S. Marine skinned Ghosts

Extract the u_teammates.xml and edit the following model file entries (3 edits for each character)

<model file="/beings/ghost_lead/ghost_lead.xml"/>

<model file="/beings/ghost_brown/ghost_brown.xml"/>

<model file="/beings/ghost_kirkland/ghost_kirkland.xml"/>

<model file="/beings/ghost_allen/ghost_allen.xml"/>

to

<model file="/beings/us_marines/us_marines.xml"/>

or whatever shell you want to use.

Path: Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter/local/english/units/beings/u_teammates.xml

This has not (to my knowledge) been tested in MP, yet.

extract data\units\beings\u_blackhawk_crew.xml

put it in Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter\local\english\units\beings

change

For door gunners change

<model file="/beings/us_marine/us_marine.xml"/>

to

<model file="/beings/ghost_lead/ghost_lead.xml"/>

For Pilots change

<model file="/beings/us_helo_pilot/us_helo_pilot.xml"/>

and

<model file="/beings/us_helo_pilot2/us_helo_pilot2.xml"/>

to

<model file="/beings/ghost_lead/ghost_lead.xml"/>

and

<model file="/beings/ghost_lead/ghost_lead.xml"/>

save changs and your done! :thumbsup:

yeah i just am editing when u say to edit the ghost lead does that change ur main charactor to a us marine because i h8 the space suits and bf2 is broken so i got no modern combat games!!! :wall::wall::wall::wall: i cant get on till 3 pm so i wanna know if it does change the main charactor aka mitchell

i got the ghosts to become the marines, but how to you change the helmet on the marines to on of the ones from the bp_weapons pack v5.0?

EDIT

after trying to change the marines to the mex sf sniper model i get this error:

Crash in application version: grpcrc1.35
