Zoom Bug

Recommended Posts

If u peek from an angle to the right and after zoom with a scar L(and optic) u will have less visual then unzoomed ....

If u do the same thing to the left u will gain noticeable visual angle.

Seem that when u zoom the center of the zoomed imagine move to the left...

If a very bad bug...

Have u seen this?

I'm sorry but I don't understand. Can you fraps it, compress it, and upload it to Youtube if no one else knows what you mean?

Peeking left and right against a wall may be a little different because the character is right handed. Get too close to the wall when you're peeking left and the gun goes down.

I try to explain better...

without zoom the position of the AIMPOINT in 3d world is the direction of your gun... in the video is directed on the wall angle.

So when u zoom, also if u have it on your right hand, the direction remain the same and cannot change if u don't move your hand, so the AIMPOINT should no change.

Instead in the video we can see that without moving the hand and only zooming, before zoom we can fire in a direction after zooming we cannot see the same aimpoint.

The green Aimpoint in 3d world don't correspond to the red dot aimpoint of the zoomed weapon.

This is not a bug only assuming that when we use the zoom always we move the rifle.

IS CLEAR NOW?

He's right. Being the dope that I am I get too close to the corner I'm at and lean peek and get a rather nice zoom without the scope. try it sometime. not sure if it's a bug but it might be. but yes I think I know what you're talking about

sounds like the same thing when trying to aim down in the shanty buidlings, when there is a barrier unzoomed you can look and aim lower because there is no barrier

but when you raise your aim your gun can't go lower than the barrier allowes. same with the stairs on the church

but it is realistic, cause hugging a wall or some other obstacle your gun can't bend around it

umm I dont see anything weird, he is holding the gun in the right hand, ofcourse he is gonna see more on the right side, now if the gun would have been in the middle, it would have been a diffrent story, but it isnt.

damn Wille!, long time no see. please, check your coat in at the door. anyway i have had it happen when I'm too close to the corner where i can't raise my weapon but i can lean right on a right corner and zoom. no scope nothing and my eyes zoom. kinda cool.

Hello stranger ,

now plz tell us something about an update/patch,instead of ...TAlk CRAP :wall:

Now don't run away ,give us something plz

Btw ,im talking to that GRIN dude here

You know they are not allowed to release that kind of info.

Be glad willie is even around, geez

Exactly ... this game actually has DEV's keeping an eye on the community and listening

Too bad they have to read things like:

"now plz tell us something about an update/patch,instead of ...TAlk CRAP"

Willie replied to something he can actually talk about and tried to answer a question that was raised by a gamer... which is totally different from "talking crap"... and that my friend, is what you just did with your immature post.

that sounds like a completley diffrent issue tho! or have I misunderstood something?

I can only give my opinion on what the OP asked im afraid(even tho it clearly wasnt the answer he wanted, hehe), dont know whats going on with the issue you are describing, does it zoom alot? could try and fraps it?

Hi Skanner, I understand what you're talking about 'cause I notice the same thing.

For me too this is a bug. Sometime, to avoid this, I use to aim without zoom, so you can see "more" than zoomed.

I hope someone, other than us, will notice that and report it. ;)

Ok. As I understand it form watching that youtube video you are annoyed that when zooming in with the wall in the middle of the screen you see more if the wall is to your left. The reason is simple. I don't kow about you but when I'm aiming down my sight, I tilt my head slightly towards the right. Now this will shift the position of my view and the scope will magnify this shift even further. If the wall is on my left side I will be able to see a little bit further around it, if it's on my right I will actually see a little bit into it. I find this realistic.

Gameplaywise standing with a wall to your left is better than a wall to your right since you have your gun in the right hand. You can also notice this wile peeking that peeking to your right is slightly better in how the gun obscures the view. I also think that the recoil is slightly better when peeking to the right, but I'm not sure if that made it in. This will make a corner better from one side and using the right corner gives a sligth advantage. I like that.

What happens in this "bug" is the effect of having a true immerive character with animations that are true in first and third person. In many other games you just change the FOV when zooming in and then easily forgets that you do tilt your head and shift the view when you look down your sight.

this is how it works as far as i can replicate it: get too close to a corner that your weapon drops, then lean right (at a right corner and zoom at the same time. you get an unscoped zoom and can see REAL well in that direction you're looking at. kinda cool but yet funny
