swifty
yeah that's what was bugging me.. the m16 foregrip is tapered. hey swartsz, have you ever considered modelling this? imo there's a big gap to fill in the GR arsenal; I've never seen a modded .223 rifle that is closer to sniping than it was to assault, and there just aren't any good 550 series models out there (excepting the upcoming opstab mod which has a great basic 550). if you feel like tackling the 550's here's another worthy weapon (and another thing the GR mod scene doesn't have enough of imo.. .223 in a subgun sized package): Of course your excellent suppressor models could be brought to bear with these weapons as well. If you want to read more about the superb Sig 550 series go here, where you'll also find photos and descriptions all of the common variants... like this swat model: Sorry, couldn't resist one more pic. swartsz
Looks great, but the m16 if you check, the front for grip dont go straigh like the m4 it goes thinner at the end. Looks cool. i see what you mean, and you are right when you are talking about a 'normal' m16, but the model i am making has a straight grip. Tech
Oh by the way Swifty, this old mod, "SWISS SPECIAL FORCE - SSF -", by Darkgiver had some very nice Sig guns in it that are, IMO, some of the best textured gun yet to this day... Worth a look... T.E.C.-Leader Tactical*Elite*Corps
swifty
they are pretty nice but sort of long in the tooth if you know what I mean. I have zero texturing or modelling skills but I can tell that they're not up to par with say, what we've seen in this thread. they also lack holsterpoints.. Tech
Well, I have to say you`re right about the holsterpoint, and they sure don`t match the ones you showed us here, but still the texture on them is darn good... We`ll see what I can come up to...

swartsz
i have changed the stock and made some little changes to the model in order to make it a better model ( in my mind ) and guess what? i was able to lower the polycount by almost 500. now i am going to try to remake the RIS bars! EricJ
I was going to suggest the Aimpoint, but I guess you covered it. But you may want to extrude the bayonet lug a tad bit, as it looks pretty thin. But other than that man, great work! swifty
swartsz, those look incredible as always but may I suggest that you collapse the telescopic stock for those cqb oriented versions? would make great sniper sidearms...
swartsz
swartsz, those look incredible as always but may I suggest that you collapse the telescopic stock for those cqb oriented versions? would make great sniper sidearms... what do you mean by collapsing the stock, swifty? EricJ
I don't think collapsing the stock should matter, as in real life, most people don't. Given the average height looks around 6 foot tall (I'm the same height) collapsing the stock only makes it a little more difficult for firing, such as in the prone, and GR doesn't consider barrels banging against doorways and other objects. Also, I've done some room clearing training, and never collapsed the stock.
