I've been browsing around looking for an automated backup solution, and stumbled upon Genie Game Backup.

This FREE tool comes with plugins for individual games, that will automatically back up the correct files (ie screenshots, game saves, settings files etc), to the location of your choice. If your game is not listed you can either request a new plugin, script one yourself, or manually point to the folders you wish to backup.

This works for ANY FOLDER on your HD, so it is not limited to games, you can backup anything with this tool.

The clever bit, is you can even use ALL the plugins that Genie have to offer if you are sneaky They have browser plug ins, app plug ins, looks like hundreds. Although they all say they have installed if you double click on them, they don't show up in the list - this is because Genie Game Backup is set to only list Game plugs ins. If you were to fool the tool into thinking all the plugins were for games, they would all work! Not that I would condone such an action, but it would let you try them out before you decided to buy the full home backup edition.

I don't see the point in looking any further, short of imaging, this tool will backup everything I need, and even has a scheduler.
