video skip while video plays.

Recommended Posts

i get a repeat skip that last about -3-10 seconds.

it occures when ever the video in the upper left hand comes and the person starts speaking.

i am up to date on all my patchs and updates on all my video cards and motherboard.

my specs are:

MICROSOFT WINDOWS XP

HOME EDITION

VERSION 2002

SERVICE PACK 2

AMD ATHLON 64 PROCESSOR

3200+

2.21 GHZ, 1.5GB OF RAM

ASUS K8N

DDR DIMM 1.5 gig memory

SOCKET 754

NVIDIA NFORCE3 250

SYSTEM BUS 1600MT/S

DDR400

GeFORCE 6200 OC agp 256MB

i tried running it on the lowest settings, and that still doesnt help.

the only thing that seems to jelp is to make my guy look down and move forward and that usually avoids the skip.

i ahve also downlaoded the map pack that gets rid of the video, and it still occurs when they are speaking.

any help will be appreciated.

Try updating drivers first, but even then... I think your vid-card is too marginal to run this game well.

Try for a geforce 6800 GT AGP, might cost you a bit but see the difference (I don't know if a 6600 AGP exists but if so that would be the cheapest improvement I guess and go for the 256MB DDR3 above the 512 DDR2 version of the 6800 if you buy one)
