sui317 0
i was checking my HD and found it very fragmented so i tried to defrag it, it did not work so well because one file did not defragment, the quick bundle any one else got this ? even after a fresh install it was fragmented from start .... don't know how this can be solved or maybe it is just my fragged HD ..... NoQuarter 0
Just defragged my HDD to check, pre-analysis showed the quick.bundle @2.86GB and 1,693 fragments, and afterward it was fine, did not show up in the "files that did not defragment" list. Odd that it would be fragmented after you re-installed it.
sui317 0
maybe it is my HD ? the bundle is spread all over the place and does not react to defragmentation.
NoQuarter 0
Are you installing it in a partition on your HDD, or are you running out of free space? You've probably done this already but if not un-install the patch, run defrag and copy the report, re-install the patch, run defrag and copy the report for comparision. Hope it's not a 500GB unit! sui317 0
before install all was clear then the dvd install, after that it was defraged , so ran defrag and it did virtually nothing it does not seem to make much difference, game runs fine am afraid that if i push this too much my HD is going to kick back, it is partitioned and a few years old *edit* did another clean install on a different partition and it was all solid, no fragmentation guess it is a partition thing Edited October 12, 2006 by sui317
