Aggressor 0
This is it I have finally found a vid card that will work on the dreaded HP PAVILION I picked up an ATI 7500 PCI today and all is working well (30-60fps so far on the refinery map with everything on high, no shadows). Are there any tweaks or adjustments in the ATI control panel that I should do to improve performance? Open GL settings, Direct 3D, Anisotropic Filtering, Anti-Aliasing, etc? Thanks. RooK 0
Yep, AA and Anistropic filtering have the biggest hits. Leave AA off and filtering to a point where it's nice to look at but giving performance you want. Once again, lowering settings in OpenGL or Dx tabs will improve performance in games that use that language but at the price of reduce image quality. So, just pick the lowest settings you can that still look nice. Also, go into bios and check out PCI bandwidth (or something like that) if it exist. It should allow you to increase the mb's that the PCI card uses and thus increase performance.
