GRAW-OGR Coop map "Blackhawk down"

Edit: Alright all, the update is up and working for this map. I fixed the crash at the end of the map, which was caused by the stryker that I had in there originally, and possible fixed the 2 tanks so that they patrol. So make sure you update it so you dont crash and thanks to all for downloading it.

I'm not sure if this counts as a bug or not, but when I was hosting my own (non-dedicated) server with just me, I could only play 2 rounds at a time before I CTD.

Comes right back quickly, so I didn't care.

Oh, and this mission loads up WAY faster than any of the stock ones.

Did this last night full or seemed to be done 61 ai dead, but game did not end.

More ai in there??? spawn problem maybe??

It was good though day version maybe??

Hey, did you guys got the same problem?

I just turned on smoke granade and start the game, GRAW crached and I was booted to the desktop. It works fine when smoke granade was not activated :wall:

I tested the smoke granade with original maps and they all work fine, just had the same problem with "BHD" and "halls of mirror" maps

Another thing I figured is that the minimap is very dark for these two custom [GR] maps, too dark that I can't see a thing except my own white arrow :wacko:

Just want to say ty for the new [GR] coop maps...specily the tank at start...something to blow out...any maps you gonna make I will put it on my server...just hope theres gonna be lots of new maps for [GR] coop .You and Jason continue your good work...see you on the battlefield...my server name:F.O.A.D(hardcore level only).

The smoke thing I never seen. I think its because I never have used them becasue they arn't an option unless you unlock them with the console. As for the dark mini-map, I left it dark, cause that maps lighting is only done on a 5 pass, draft resolution. To get a working properly mini map you need to do a medium resolution on a 3 pass, and when I did that, the tanks wouldn't work properly. So I sacrafised the mini map to get the tanks workin somewhat right. Still no word from evert about how come this is. Until I find out, the dark mini map is going to have to stay. Sorry.

Rpghard - Thanks for the compliment on the map. Im working on a new one right now but am kinda stuck. So im going to have to wait till I get this problem resolved before I can move on.

Colin - Im probably going to release a day verson of my mission whenver I get around to doing an extract for it. Im not in the mood right now for it cause I dont want to deal with those tanks anytime soon. But dont worry, I will release it for anyone that wants it to be day. I liked the night cause I felt it was more "intense" for the sceen.

you have to both have it. Its not hard, just download it, and unzip it to your "custom-levels" folder. More maps will come when we make them. They take time as the game is a little unstable, and needs lots of testing to get things to all work right. And I havent tried to port GR1 missions to GRAW and set them up as a coop. sorry.

I have a suggestion for fixing your mini map.

There is a way to do it but it takes a little extra work. Ok, here is what ya can do.

First...because you have your good map rendered at DRAFT. Save that bundle to a specific location. (not custom levels)

Second... Do the export with the 5 passes on your map to get the mini map looking good. (now you will have 2 map bundles) 1 that has a good mini map but dont work and 1 with a bad mini map but does work.

Third... open up the good mini map bundle and pull out the good mini map TGA file.

Fourth... Open up the bundle that you have the bad mini map in and replace it with the good one.

Now you need to manualy rebundle the file. That would get you a good mini map in your working map.

If you dont know how to rebundle the files here is a good tutorial on how...

I can do an update, for this map and fix that problems and test somethings but it will be awhile. Im tring to help 2 other people with maps, and then I can get to it. When I do release it, Ill come back here and tell you all. It will be on the downloader v1.2 and will contain a day verson of this mission for the people that way it that way. Ill work on the tanks, and the number of guys in the map. So, just check back.

Edit: alright guys, I updated the map and got the one tank that was a problem to work properly thanks to me misunderstanding the crashlog. hahahah. But its up and much better too. Made a small change and added a mover collision to an area i found that you could get to the outside shaded areas of the map. The zip has been updated, and to the 1 group of people that grabbed it already, grab the new update. It should work and if not let me know. http://www.4shared.com/dir/687371/3fdf192a/sharing.html

PM Rocky - he can change it. Also, don't get disgruntled if you have bugs in the map. It's how we all learn. Always good to test on your own end, but sometimes letting 20-30 get to it and get back to the map maker before deeming the map "locked down" isn't a bad idea. kudos.

I just had my first attempt at this map...Nice one ducky..

i went for 10 respawns and 40 min time on my own..got 35 of the 60 enemy and was just getting close to the helo but time ran out..

Great mod man.

Wanna give it a try online? I'll download it tonight, and maybe we can test with our clans, so we'll have up to 14 people on the map?

They dont spawn until you hit a trigger point. I did that, because when I had them just spawn, they were spawn rapping the crap out of us, even with the shanties. So I had it so that you had to activate them before they started shooting. It makes it alittle bit fair for everyone. Im working out the bugs on the day one still, and got them to patrol correctly. I also think i fixed the firefight part of it, because I saw someone say they killed more than the number you needed to. As soon as I figure out the tanks, which is getting to be redic. then Ill release the day verson, which will include an update to the night one. Its taking longer than I planned, because at the same time, im helpin other people with there maps, and workin on a new one, and trying to write that tutorial, and working :P

Really nice map! A bit tuogh on your own though :wall:

Had one CTD when starting map - sorry Rough Trooper :(

Will launch it again - Just gotta play it some more! :devil:

edit: I get CTD on every map change (from Black hawk down >> Black Hawk down) when running a non dedicated server. Never got CTD when running standard GRIN maps.
