Streinger 0 Posted April 9, 2003 Share Posted April 9, 2003 I remember when I put up the renders of my FN MAG for ADF Operation Stabilise mod, somebody asked will it be Aussie or a tango weapon. We had to dissapoint all of the players looking forward to play with this meat grinder, as it was intended to be a tango only wep. Since then, AUS_Viper did some aditional research, and it turned out that like many other armies, ADF also uses FN MAG/ FN 58 as a heavy support weapon. So there it is, FN 58...we wanted to make it somewhat different from a tango version, so wooden stock is replaced with more modern OD green plastic stock. Also, AUS_Viper's contact in ADF told us that ADF doesn't use any ammo container, but rather have ammo-belt hang freely from the weapon. As this would be somewhat hard to model realisticaly (belt would appear rigid instead of swinging like it should) we decided to put an AUSCAMMO ammo bag (pouch) onto the weapon. Y'know, weapon mods really have stepped to the next level now haven't they? It's got to the point where you could put these renders on the FN site and they wouldn't look out of place.
