EricJ
Did some messing around with the Mission01.xml and it's possible to change out your weapon before jumping in Contact! I like the SCAR-L, but then again it begged the question: Why do SF troopers jump with set equipment? Anyways, so far I've only been able to get the player to change out the weapon, and works of course. Unfortunately, you won't be able to select your teams gear, that can be handled in the data/lib/managers/xml/group_manager.xml file. http://562.50megs.com/GRAW/Projects/M01.rar

Brettzies
np Nice. I never understood this either. The only thing I can think of is they wanted to throw you right into the game...like a Hollywood movie, which is ubi's design theory these days. On one level, yeah it works, and the actual mission is designed as a tutorial, but personally I think you should have the option to pick what you want. Good work, I'm gonna check it out. ps. Mission01 would have made a better demo back in april in my opinion, aside from the fact that you couldn't spec out your team and they probably wanted to save the HALO jump for the release....even though we'd all seen it via videos before. Just a better showcase of the game in my opinion. Hell, should've just done the first two missions for that matter. edit: tried it out, works great. Should have been the default way the game was designed. Edited September 4, 2006 by Brettzies
Fonzarelli TAW
How come the city is wrecked and there's pileups in the highway in the first mission? AFAIK, the coup starts while you in the helicopter en route to mission 2! Are mexican highways always strewn with burning car shells and jackknifed semi-trailers?
