Patmos
I have had GR for a long time just got frustrated the 1st time I played it because I can't move the other teams along the way. I have played through the training several times and can't get them to move. THey will say "On my way" and never move. I play FPS games all the time and finished MOHAA and Wolfenstein easily. I know I will love this game if someone could just help me to move the other teams!! I know this is stupid and I don't know why I can't get it! PLEASE HELP!! Thanks!! Pave Low
You set waypoints by selecting a fireteam and then left-clicking the spot on the map where you want the team to go. You can set multiple waypoints in sequence, allowing the fireteam to move along a preset path. As soon as a waypoint is set, the team will start moving unless its RoEs are set to Hold. When the waypoint is set, a line appears on the Command Map between the leader of the fireteam and the waypoint, along which the soldier will move. The team will only move if it isn’t the one you are currently in control of and the RoE isn’t a red cross (Hold).
Patmos
So on the command map you said select a team. Just click on it?? And then left click on where you want them? I appreciate your help. I really want to play this game!!
Pave Low
Yeah, click on the Alpha, Bravo or Charlie tags on the top of the command map. Left mouse button places a waypoint and right mouse button removes the last one Then click the route you want them to take (on the last destination point you can also indicate which way you want them to face) Then they should start to follow the route (so long as the movement symbol isn’t a red cross) If you give a route to the team you currently control they won’t move until you switch to another team. If you also set the team to “recon” as well as “advance” they will make use of any available cover and looks really cool to watch. Also if you set a team to “hold” and give them a route, as soon as you set the movement RoE to other than “hold” they will follow the prearranged route Its like a “go code” and means that you can engage a position from multiple directions at once. Pave Low
Anytime, I was glad to help. Hope you get on OK It does take a while to pick up the techniques to manage all 3 teams and learn the effect that the different movement & Combat RoE's can have on how and what they do.
