Pave Low 16
am just feeling lazy OK so are we . . . . . . . . Naw, you’re lucky we’re not like that Server side = files that are only held in the origmiss, MP1 or MP2 folders on the server and not by any of the client PC’s. Only a few files can be “server side” .mis, .gun, .prj .env, .kit ETC. All graphic files have to be held by both client and server, IE textures, skins, .chr ETC. So depending on what’s in your decent mods they may have to be downloaded by everyone before they join your server.
X69RZX 0
Thanx Pave Low, I'm glad you're not like that. That info is important, about the file types, but are you saying you cannot create a new mod files that are only held in the origmiss, MP1 or MP2 folders and then ammend the mod content file? MULTIPLAYER "Server-Client" that's from DS mod content. Thanx again.
Pave Low 16
Nope, that wouldnt work. You can create new missions and put them into the missions folder of GR, DS or IT and they would be server side (only your PC would need to have them) or you can change the environment of a map (.env) or you could alter an existing weapon (.gun) or projectile(.prj) or kit (.kit) and these would also only need to be on your server. But if you create any NEW skins, actors, weapons, textures, icons, or maps they cant be server side and the folks would have to download them as a separate MOD that is installed both on the server and the client (their PC).
