Small fixes not to forget in next patch

These are small bugs that shouldn't be hard for final clean up.

#1 Avenues see through the ceiling problem.

#2 Shoots 1st time when hitting key to talk to everyone

#3 Sticky Peek slide bug. Discovered in beta and apparently leaked to a few. seen a few do it

#4 Commstation floating grass on hills (if you lay down and look up you will see what i mean)

#5 To easy to get outside of hollow and commstation (If you need to know how GRIN, pm me)

#6 Get Commstation and Hollow added to the ATC

#7 Running in place bug. People that see them can hear them, also deathcam can see it but player has no idea. If they go back to crouch then stand it stops.

#8 Minimap on Hollow does not match player location in TDM. Off by about 20 feet.

#9 Widescreen bug as describled by many.

#10 Server info: where stats for Kills and deaths are mixed up

#11 If you join a server from favorites, and abort game, you cannot rejoin the same server without quitting completely to desktop then rejoining

#12 Hotkey weapon problem. Sometimes switches back to rifle. Seems to happen with hotkeys and or mouse button binding. Even if default keys are set then keys are rebound.

#13 Possible lag, but sometimes the weapon raise animation is not shown when someone runs, stops and brings up the gun to fire.

#14 Deathcam needs to turn on NV when player does.

#15 Map editor: Prop brush

Does not save to the massunit.bin any more since 1.21, so you can place grass etc.. and on draft/final render see nothing.

#16 Map Editor:PROP "ramirez_husk"

causes a crash of game for anyone joining a map containing this prop.

The host machine does not crash.

#17 Some overview Deathcam's show players (Hollow for example) and some do not. Should be on or the other. Also not properly aligned

#18 Sticky Peeking becomes unsticky when stance is raised or lowered (i've seen this even with stickypeek). Same when holding button for those that don't use sticky peek.

#19 Warehouses.. Concrete stacked pipes only appear within a certain range. At longer range are transparent making you think the guy standing there is invincible. They are on the west side of the map center.

#20 MAP EDITOR: effect_cloud

This prop has a property than makes it totally useless

When used, GL & Grenades float in what's suppose to be a low cloud effect...

Grenades & GL should fire straight through

#21 Randomly (i haven't had this happen to me but have seen it reported numerous times) when switching between map lobby and player, your view changes to a nother player that is dead. You can still move your player, but you are seeing through the dead guy and not out of your own players eyes. It fixes itself at end of round, a respawn, or if you exit and rejoin.f

PLEASE KEEP THIS ON TOPIC. ONLY SMALL BUGS + MAP ERRORS, NOT NEW FEATURES, NOR SPAM.

how about fixing the weapon selection so I don't have to hit the button three times for it to pick the weapon i want. It happens all the time using either hot keys or the mouse wheel. I pick nade launcher, it immediately switches back to the rifle. I pick smoke, switches back to rifle. More often than not I have to choose everything 3 times for it to stick.

I get this at times - though I always atributed it to lag.

I already saw that they said they were fixing it already - but Widescreen bug, anyone?

I would give up all if this one was fixed !!! it's so NOT STEALTHY... running on the spot creating a homeing beacon of sound !!!!!!!

I haven't seen that bug... please post..

What mouse are you using? and what keys do you have bound to it?

and have you re-bound the keys by setting them to default and back up.

I'm sure Grin will need that info. I'm trying to make the list as clear as possible. also anyone else with this issue please elaborate also.

A fix of the widescreen bug is essential, that one is extremely annoying.

Added as #9 to my post... forgot that one as i don't have widescreen.

#11 When you exit or drop from a game, make it go back to the MP screen you connected from, i.e favorites or Internet tab (saves you from a lot of unnessesary clicks)

#11 is a feature... just trying for fixes ;) also note what if you didn't want to go back to that screen... then it's unneccessary clicks for them.

I get this all the time especially with the hot-keys(1,2,3 etc.).

Problem when sticky peek is disabled. The problem is, if you are leaned and then change stance you unlean untill yous stance is fully changed and then you lean again. ie: Your standing at a corner, and you lean out to check whats out there. While leaning, you decide you need to crouch, to make yourself a smaller target. You hit the crouch button, but instead of crouching first, you unlean losing sight downrange untill you are crouched, then you lean again only to see the enemy taking aim on you.

CTD when exiting game bug, anyone?

Let me paste you the some of the lines from the "fixes" section:

* Fixed aspect ratio bug with widescreen monitors.

* Fixed shot/hit effect going off on spawn and sometimes when chatting.

* Fixed issue where a player could get stuck in run animation.

* Fixed glitch where you could run while crouching and still shoot.

* Fixed an exit bug that would cause GRAW to perform an illegal operation when exiting.

This is a great summary thread, much appreciated Roco and contributors! :)

I noticed this since the sticky keys were introduced but i put it down to using a KVM switch

I can hardly ever call up nades (have to scroll instead) and each weapon change requires extreme violence directed towards my keyboard (actually I kind of enjoy it :devil: )

Fix:

Deathcam: no good for night map or dark areas, need the ability

to switch on night vision for the spectator

Deathcam overview:

Always out of position from the overall map, even the Grin maps are off set in this view and is not a complete view of the map like in MINIMAP

Chat box:

With death cam? please

Map editor: Prop brush

How bout when you fire the GL with nothing around you and it seems to hit something invisible in the air and goes flying off somewheres else. ( This is why i quit last nite...no point in playing serious as long as the game isnt reliable )

Also...how bout when a guy is standing up against a wall and you shoot a G/L at him, it hits the wall but doesnt kill the guy even though he was standing like 2 cm from the explosion.

Lag....anyway to fix this? Where a guy is still running and kills you without stopping and his gun never comes up.

Not sure if this is considered a bug or a feature but you can still fire the Predator/Zeus while in a prone position. SP 1.21

I don't know what you mean I have used the AT-4 prone and I have had my hands on the next generation of shoulder AT's, (similar to Zeus) it is more cumbersome but one should be able to fire it from prone.

Perhaps some damage done to peeps standing behind should be added *actually I don't know if there is damage or not done to the innocent behind standers*

How bout when you fire the GL with nothing around you and it seems to hit something invisible in the air and goes flying off somewheres else. ( This is why i quit last nite...no point in playing serious as long as the game isnt reliable )

The Ghost team just use old munitions, don't worry you will get fresh ones in the expansion when you have done some blasting with the old stash ;)

Cool some of the bugs we have listed are being removed woot!

I'll keep updating it... just check the edited by ROCO part of my post to see when i last updated it.

The explosion doesn't do a circuimference like a hand nade. I think it may not be shrapnel based but Grin could answer that. It may also be to balance the weapon.

For the invisible... it wasn't those dissappearing pipes was it on warehouse (they are transparent until you get to a certain range (middle of west spawn 25 meters toward center from opening)) Can you reproduce it?

Running shooting and not showing animation between added to the list.
