Be nice if Grin had read this to aknowledge the point... that it may be looked into,

I know you guys have problems to look into, so ADD THIS ONE TO THE LIST

SOLUTION

I found the problem for anyone else with the same problem in future

With PATCH 1.21

PROP "ramirez_husk"

will cause this problem

REMOVE the prop and the problem goes

=========================

Code:

<unit name="ramirez_husk" unit_id="2592" name_id="none" cover_off="false">

<position pos_x="-3275" pos_y="-625" pos_z="95.511742"/>

<rotation yaw="0" pitch="0" roll="0"/>

</unit>

<unit name="ramirez_husk" unit_id="2593" name_id="none" cover_off="false">

<position pos_x="-3749.9995" pos_y="-599.99933" pos_z="95.511757"/>

<rotation yaw="0" pitch="0" roll="-179.99385"/>

</unit>

<unit name="ramirez_husk" unit_id="2594" name_id="none" cover_off="false">

<position pos_x="-3275" pos_y="-250" pos_z="95.511742"/>

<rotation yaw="0" pitch="0" roll="0"/>

</unit>

Viiiper

p.s. Willie, I asked the Question and got no answer .....

Can't promise that I'm afraid - if you want confirmation that someone is looking into reports then you're better of reporting them directly to Ubisoft than on a fan forum that we may or may not see. Always appreciated, of course, but there's no guarantee it'll reach us.

Problem is "Stickan"

It feels more human on here, and you guys have been doing a great job so far with support on this fan forum, it feels like a group of friends most of the time [par the moans].

I appreciate your comment and it always means so much more that the ubi forum, which feels like a big brother game show.

Keep up the good work Grin Crew.

"ramirez_husk" is a PROP in the GRAW editor

This thread refers to the use of that prop in any custom made map, if used the

map will run when hosted as multiplayer with the server as the only player.

But if anyone else joins the custom map they will crash out with the above error.

There is a problem with the PROP "ramirez_husk" and multiplayer.

maybe it was worthy to mention you had this error while running a custom made map..if you want proper support you must do a proper report ;) anyway good job with finding this bug :thumbsup:

I did think about it, saying the error was when joining a custom map server,

but my real aim was to find out what the error

data\lib\managers\adaptionmanager.dsf(-1): cant find member: camera in type <Unit>

ment and how to track it's cause. If i'd posted the custom map element GRIN (if they had answered) my have just said "it's a custom map problem" which was true but not the real cause..... which transpires to be a PROP and only since PATCH 1.21

It would be good to have a way of id' ing the cause... and this goes to the DXE decompiler

tool. I tracked it down to the adaptionmanager.dxe but could not see the code or where data was being fetched from. [no decompiler] .... the DSF was useless

I know GRIN hasn't taken the easy way out in the past, but I was a bit scared they would side track the real cause, so I left out the words "custom map" as I thought they may of used it as a "get out of jail" card.

anyway we have the answer now

viii

p.s. keep up the good mapping work on "BLACK"
