FA sear
Has anybody been able to save the Black Hawk that is shot down? I found the Shilka that shoots it down, and tagged it with an RPG. I first shot the two guys near the trees, but I noticed that after I shot the Shilka the Black Hawk still ended up shot down. The trees covered the view, so I could not see what happened. Is there another Shilka somewhere? Who shoots the Black Hawk down when the Shilka is gone? I have also gone down to Morton, and I didn't see any Black Hawks leaving the area. I got really lucky running straight to Morton (I always run the game on the Mercenary setting), and I heard over the radio that the last evac was just leaving, but I did not see any Black Hawk taking off. Did I miss something, or does the game just give audio with no real video representation?
rookie
It is destroyed anyway, most propably scripted. In another mission a black hawk, that is supposed to save you, is being shot down by a hind. When I retried the mission I managed to shoot it down with a rpg and seconds after that the black hawk just exploded in the air and fell into a forest and it wasn't being shot at by anything. FA sear
I have been killing myself trying to save the thing, and no matter what I do, it is always being shot down. When I retried the mission I managed to shoot it down with a rpg and seconds after that the black hawk just exploded in the air and fell into a forest and it wasn't being shot at by anything. That stinks, it would have been better if there were two Hinds or something. Just like After Montinag probably should have had two shilkas shooting the Black Hawk. Thanks for the response.
