I'd really love to see more of them in GR, especially the 417. We have 2 FN SCAR mods out and another one coming along, now it's time for the HK416!!!! SnowFella Posted October 1, 2006 Share Posted October 1, 2006 It ain't hard to make one though even if you don't have perfect pics of both sides of the reciever. I made this one for VBS1 without using a single 416 picture in the texture and only a smallish one for reference. All you really need to know is what markings the reciever have and repaint a colt reciever, after all they are 99% identical externally. The one thing that differs is the hight of the sightrail, the 416 has a slightly higher rail than a normal colt flattop reciever. I used the below images for reciever reference and repainted them to have 416 markings. KAC SR15 Leftside KAC SR15 Rightside As for the markings, here's pretty much all you need to know.
