Reject
GR:AW v1.21 Manufacturer: Alienware Processor: AMD Athlon 64 FX-62 Dual Core Processor, MMX, 3DNow (2 CPUs), ~2.8GHz Memory: 2048MB RAM Physics Card: Agea Physx 2.5 Hard Drive: 500 GB Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 7950 GX2 Monitor: Samsung 24 244t Sound Card: Realtek HD Audio output 7.1 Speakers/Headphones: Logitech Z-5500 5.1 Surround Keyboard: Saitek Eclipse Mouse: Logitech G5 Operating System: Windows XP Media Center Edition Service Pack 2 My game crashes when there are a lot of gernades thrown. So I don't know if it's audio related or Physx card related. I run the game @ 1900 x 1200 60hrz. I get about 40-50 fps. It's really starting to tick me off. Any ideas? NoQuarter
Is it a CTD or a computer lockup? You've got nice hardware there so you should be able to tweak settings to solve the problem. In case you haven't already done so update all of your drivers (GPU, PPU, audio) and disable any programs running in the background during play. These might help (if you haven't seen them) http://www.ghostrecon.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=33371 http://www.ghostrecon.net/faqs/index.php Good luck! Reject
All drivers updated. It's a CTD. I get a runtime error in GRAW.exe. Then I click ok and the PC locks up so I have to reboot. Edited August 12, 2006 by Reject
NoQuarter
Does the crash append the crashlog.txt in the GRAW directory? If so please post. Also, does the game crash as you approach a trigger point in the game as well(save point, mission change, etc.)?
Reject
There is no crashlog.txt in my GRAW directory. I only play Multiplayer so there are no trigger points causing the crashing. It seem like it only crashes when there are explosions right on top of me. One gernage or one GL explsion doesn't crash me. Only multiple explosions on top of me causes a crash. Kinda weird. Colin
remove the ph card and run game agn. If it still happens replace card and make sure you have July drivers from ageia. Make sure when removing and replacing hardware you follow the user guidlines. Edited August 12, 2006 by Colin
Reject
Didn't help. GR:AW is the only game that crashes in-game for me.

Bug fix for this is enroute in the next patch. It might, as you say, crash when there are too many 'nades going off.
