Dannik
Microsoft's Flight Simulator X is soon to be released, and to give a little taste of what's to come, a demo has been released. It features three missions on and around a small Caribbean island. FileFront Microsoft 3dGamers FilePlanet Weighing in at 636 megs, the system requirements are actually quite low: * Microsoft® Windows® XP SP2 / Vista * PC with 1 GHz equivalent or higher processor * 256 MB of system RAM for Windows XP SP2 / 512 MB Vista * 14 GB available hard disk space * 32x speed or faster CD-ROM drive * 32 MB DirectX 9 compatible video card required * Sound card, speakers or headphones required for audio * Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device * 56.6 Kbps or better modem for online play Obviously, the 14 gigs of HD space is for the full version, not the demo. CR6
Hmm ... isn't this the game that is one of the first to feature DirectX 10 support?
Dannik
It apparently is shipping in DirectX9 mode at retail, with a patch expected upon the retail release of Micrsoft Windows Vista to add DX10 features. The DX10 features already exist, but since they will only be compatible with Vista, there seemed no need to ship anything other than 9.
