One big terrain

How hard would it be to make one big terrain tile with different styles of terrain on it? Have a hilly section and a mountainous area and a flat area. That way us mappers could utilize one tile for making a whole bunch of different style maps. Plus in theory it would cut down on the size of the map bundle cause the light maps would be for one big terrain tile versus a whole bunch of small ones. If this is possible...could someone who can do it make one up for us?

Very cool. I have 3dsmax 8 but it wont work with GRAW, plus im still new to it. It would be so cool to have something like this. I mean we have to fence off the current stuff anyways so i dont see why we couldnt use something like this and build our maps on the terrain that suits that map and then fence it off so its small enough for gameplay. Glad to see someone is working on it. Thanks Red !

but you have to have holes cut out or you cant place any static objects on the map only props

well whatim thinking of doing wont require that as it will be for org style maps lol

now my questions is what types fo files does max 7 open? since i am makeing the 3ed modesl adns tuff in anotehr program i want ot make sure that i save it in something max can open up and thus be able to put into the game
