I am having quite a time getting ideas and a mini-storyline going with these missions!!

Anyone help? :(

I am having Mission Creators block.

Well these days the CIA are running alot of covert operations units that don't directly belong to the U.S. military.

There is this super ultra top top secret unit so secret that they don't even have a name. Their operations are simply referred to as "The Activity". ........spooky! :ph34r:

They do alot of assasinations and super commando missions.....stuff you won't find out in the evening news.

How about a small unit of "The Activity" that handles assasinations by means of sniper teams. Your missions can be based on a campaign of assasinations that the Activity has been requested to carry out.

One of the missions could be the assasination of a leader of some country that is secretly aiding terrorists or who is making nukes. High ranking military or politicians alot of times go out in public with powerful body armor that can stop a 7.62 bullet. But, a .50 caliber or larger caliber bullet can be used to take him out! :shifty:

In real life thats how that Bosnian president in recent years was assasinated because a sniper used a .50 caliber bullet out of M82 to defeat the body armor he was wearing. :blink:

another mission could be to take out a SAM site.

Another still could be something like blackhawk down where you have to hold off enemy troops while your buddies make for the chopper.

Just try to imagine stuff oh wise leader of blackburnia!! :P

I am NOT Blackburn... I am Foxtrot360, where the hell did "Blackburn" come from?

I like the BHD idea, and i like CIA/Commando idea but umm.. I dont want people assasinating people with a AntiMaterial rifle.

One more thing...

I think you guys should replace all of the classes with Snipers and Spotters.

I wish there was a way to make the rifles not have an explosion when shot, i think it looks cheesy.

Well, in real life they do thats for sure.........assasinate people with AMRs I mean. In real life it ain't pretty but in game at least a player can have fun with it. And that replacing the classes with spotters and snipers is a very good idea. And the only explosions are with the 20mm coded rifles and theres no way to get around that really cause of the engine. Small price to pay I think.

Yeah, better go find your ridilin.

I think it would be a good idea too to replace all the CHRs with the Sniper class and maybe some mixed Spotter class, which is basically a Sniper character with a rifle or carbine.

Ya I hope ya listening thales and mig......and everyone else on.....the planet? :huh:

Kits would have to be adjusted too I think.

Yeah, the body armor idea is great, then a .50 is a must hehe ...

There are visual explosions just with the amr .55 and above, and that must happen so tanks can be destroyed. But in fact they are not supposed to be used anti personnel, btw the recoil, prone accuracy and stabilization time are much worse than the .50 rifles,mainly anti personnel weapons.

The .50 dont kill tanks, so visual explosion is set to "0".

Ppl lets try to make things easier, sometimes "less is more", right, this is a sniper mod, now with just some few anti materiel missions and we are ready to go beta ok ... We must not forget what happened to the previous Sniper Cannon Mod, three years old by now ...

Sure, hey we NEED those misions by Foxtrot23, ive just given my opinion, sniper cannon is a weapon mod, right ? Adds long distance rifles to gr, .50, 12,7mm, 14,5mm, .55 and 20mm weapons, very powerful rifles.

True that. It is a weapon mod to be sure. Just throw in a couple missions....gametypes even. As a matter of fact I think the most important thing about this mod is that it is able to work with any mission a player might have in his game folder (as long as he has DS + IT). Or that he is able to play this mod with any of his other mods without any problems.

Perhaps these things are most important?

Fox, i have an idea for the soldiers classes... Rifleman: Spotters, SD SMGs; Support: SMGs and Demo Charges, that in fact won't work as demo charges but only as a scarpegoat (is it right???) for the scripting, with the name of K-Rations or something about this, the sniper obviously and the demo as a radio man; a team of 4 for a small campaign in which the player must use all times the same 4 soldiers; in GR it is impossible to do this, but, if a player is "honest", he will respect this rule! LOL

U should begin the mission for example with a "video mission" that show the insertion on the battlefield of the team, that must go on foot to a particoular objective. All the team MUST survive all the missions. Through the maps, with an high drawing distance to allow a funny sniping, player will meet armors, infantry, choppers, whatever u want. A nice thing would be an assassination mission and, after that, our boyz will be sourrended and will have to survive enemy counter-assaults, while HQ will deny any involvment with the mission and our ghosts will be alone behind enemy lines. Going on, they collect the intel about some enemy plan and they decide to give trouble to the bad guys. What about some rebel force in a 3rd world country? Beginnin in deserts, then forests, then must move in urban environments where the sniper is used to take out enemy snipers, more than all!

One more great secondary weapon added, the Desert Eagle .440 Cor-Bon with scope, the most powerful pistol in the world at this time. It will be available just to the specialists. :thumbsup:

No, this is the real thing, all my files are in ogg format, then i convert them to wave 1411 kbps, stereo files, then i make them compatible to gr, 705 kbps, so they can run ok ingame.

Here is the stereo wave file before being converted to gr.

And this is the real life firing sound of the awesome, outstanding BARRET XM109 25mm rifle .

And this is a very hard to find firing sound , from a Lahti 20 mm anti tank rifle, a weapon that will be in Sniper Cannon Mod (click on the pic). Its Stalker_Zero in the photo holding his monstrous rifle. :yes:
