Was in Korea for a year, Saudi for 6 months, and thats about it. I was in from 94 - 98. I was in CE (Civil Engineering H/Vac troop Prime Beef ) Wanted to stay in, but wife did not like the life so I got out. Edit-- The military sux. No respawns and the med packs don't work. The dev team really needs to look into this, and lets not mention the publisher Uncle Sam. I was enlisted in the last troop of Duty in The Netherlands but our governement stopped duty 3 troops ealier. My parents have died early and I was alone at 21, got my education, a home, a car, alot of money but what to do? I switched jobs the first 3 years and couldn't get my life fixed (though I had my wife(to-be) to support me) I would have joined the fire brigade, and since I am A Forrester-wannabe experience in putting out forest-fires would be welcome. I got the grips finally, and I'm a happy father of 3 now, with a nice job. but the military would have given me a stable environment to start with I'm sure (though they hate ######'s.....) I might be going to the RMC in Canada for engineering, just depends on how much I enjoy the higher levels of math. If I don't enjoy it that much I'm thinking of going the combat engineer way, I already know that I enjoy doing the things I would be expected to do so I'm actually leannig towards doing this. Also, they just pick out the best ones and I'm not as fit as I should be & I wear glasses. I've been to Chanute AFB, Illinois, Dyess AFB, Texas, and RAF Lakenheath, UK. However, have been to Japan for 5 years as a military spouse and to Pope AFB, North Carolina (was there 10 years). Enlisted in the Reserve in 1991, right after Gulf War I. MOS 76V- Materiel Storage and Handling Specialist. Warehouse rat. 1993 I transitioned to the regular Army, MOS 63S- Heavy Wheel Vehicle Mechanic. Served as such from '93 to '96 in C Battery 5th Battalion 3rd Field Artillery in Fort Sill, OK. Then I switched up to MOS 67R (now 15R)- AH-64 Attack Helicopter Repairer. Served in 2-6 Cavalry (Illesheim, Germany), 1-3 Aviation (Hunter Army Airfield, GA, and Fort Hood, TX), 3-6 Cavalry (both Fort Hood, TX, and Camp Humphreys, South Korea), 1-2 Aviation (Camp Page, South Korea), and 1-82 Attack Reconnaissance Battalion and 122nd Aviation Support Battalion (Fort Hood, TX AGAIN and Fort Bragg, NC). Also did a little time at Fort Gordon, GA in Range Control and then at Troop Command at Eisenhower Army Medical Center. I've graduated the Primary Leadership Development Course (Grafenwoehr, Germany-1999), Basic NonCommissioned Officers' Course (Fort Eustis, VA-2002), and Advanced NonCommissioned Officers' Course (Fort Rucker, AL-2005). Was the Honor Graduate for my BNCOC class, and Distinguished Graduate for my Advanced Individual Training Class for MOS 67R. Have also attended Gas Welding, Field Sanitation Team, Combat Livesaver, Hazmat Transporters, Hazmat responders, and EPA CAA refrigerant technicians courses. I'm currently the Support Operations Air Maintenance Supervisor for 122nd ASB. What it breaks down to is that I monitor the status of ALL MANNED AIRCRAFT in the 82nd Airborne Division, coordinate maintenance support for them, and report the daily and monthly status to Brigade, Division, Corps, FORSCOM, and AMC/AMCOM. Haven't made it to the Middle East yet. I HAVE been to Bosnia i Herzegovina, and Albania, in the late '90's. I miss Eastern Europe... I think Eastern Europe misses Eastern Europe too swedish armed forces, first batallion, transvestite brigade. we always had the element of surprise on our side.
