Agent Smith
First shot of my comic 100% based on GRAW, and I'm doing my best to capture the GRAW look and feel, including having such details down to the damn weapons that the Ghosts and enemies use. This is made in Garry's Mod, if anyone can't tell.

Low Profile
I think you really meant to say, "The GRAW fan that drinks his KoolAid doesn't criticize the game". I'll start speading the word when ... 1) ... I spend more time playing the game, than I do getting disconnected from it, or having clients drop when I'm hosting COOP. I'd go back to the prior patch before I started having all these problems, but no one online is running with the older patch now. 2) ... the current documented bugs are fixed for "real" without a mix of new bugs being introduced via a new patch. This should not be that difficult to accomplish if said new patch is actually tested properly. I will wait if need be for a patch that fixes more than it breaks. 3) ... there are more than 3 total modes of gameplay, most notably "Last Man Standing" which should support all the stock maps with "Random Insertions", and "Kit Restriction" options available as was in the [Ghost Recon]. Also, the need for a proper observation mode is a "must" for all gametypes, including the ability to use zoom and nightvision while observing. As far as I'm concerned the powers that be should not expect GRAW's current following to grow at all until the 3 above things have been accomplished for starters. Until that time I'm not spreading the word about this game unless asked.

What does or doesn't make a game in your mind is beside the point with regards to this thread and my reply to it. I've simply listed the items I personally feel need to take place before I am willing to spread the word to others about this game. That is after all what the subject and tag line of this post are about. This isn't a discussion about MP versus SP. -|-aMMo-|-
Well I for one could care less what the single player was like. Its all about the MP for me.
SAWmonger
I think some of you folks are in the wrong thread. The line for whiners is over there --> Agent Smith: I'm with you here. Looking forward to the first installment.
Druac_Blaise
MP doesn't make a game. SP does. MP makes a game for me and everyone I play these games with. If SP made the game on its own, then the game is fine as is. This is one of the few shooters I actually finished the SP mode in and I enjoyed most of it. Of course I probably finished it because MP is incomplete and I didn't have much choice. In other words, it might not make a game for you, but eveyone I know plays shooters primarily for MP. And while you can call me a 'fan' of GR:AW, I have spread the word to the people I play shooters with, the word being it isn't complete yet, but I have hope it will be soon. Low Profile
As for staying on topic, I won't be drawn into a MP versus SP discussion in this thread. It's not what this thread is about per the subject and tag line of this post. What are your thoughts on the statement, "The GRAW fan doesn't criticize the game, it spreads the word." I've replied with my reaction to this statement. Let's hear yours. Edited July 17, 2006 by Low Profile
Rocky
I can edit the topic title to reflect the point that the OP wishes to discuss his new GR:AW comic and not start (another) complaints thread if it makes things easier...
Low Profile
If the subject and tag line of said topic are edited accordingly I'll be happy to <no text> my previous replies, civil, and constuctive as they may be. It was the subject and tag line which drew me to this post after all. Even though the poster did not address his subject directly I feel he was trying to make his point by showing that he is contributing via a comic themed around GRAW rather than criticizing the game which in all rights should be criticized in my opinion. I simply felt the need to list why I won't be spreading the word as a GRAW fan for now. With the current state of this game my reaction is hardly unreasonable. I as well can't wait to see further progress you make on said comic. Edited July 17, 2006 by Low Profile
Agent Smith
I can edit the topic title to reflect the point that the OP wishes to discuss his new GR:AW comic and not start (another) complaints thread if it makes things easier... Go ahead if you want. IMO, the current title is basically the start of a flow. The user reads the topic title, and looks in the original post. He sees someone making a comic based on the game that the certain website is based on. The user then understands what the original poster means by "spreading the word." EDIT: Work has already begun on the first volume. I've already made the first four pages, the cover, the storyline page, the pic posted in the original post, and another pic. I'm now going to load up Garry's Mod to do some more work. Edited July 17, 2006 by Agent Smith
Rbrad1
MP doesn't make a game. SP does. Good to see a few gamers feel the same way I do! I agree with this post. The Sp makes the game what it is. However, since this is a post about those who enjoy GR:AW don't complain, but spread the word, I have been doing that. But I don't think that it carries much influence, unless I am talking to a fellow gamer.
