New GRAW MOD

Hi, we (Trespasser and me) are working on Ghost Recon: Black, a Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter Modification.

Features:

-the mod will take place in a desertic area in the north of the Iraq and it will be based on fictional events

-all scenarios will be created from real topographic maps (large [GR] style maps)

-all contents will be created from scratch

We will release single maps as soon as they are available.

All .max scenes will be included for learning purposes.

Here's a preview of the first map's area:

We will create a village at both side of the river (near the bridge), each village will be defended by a bunker.

First question is...when do you think this might be released and second....how easy will it be for regular map makers to intergrate your new stuff into their maps?

1-when it's ready (lol I'm talkin' like a pro dev :lol: no seriuosly...it's a bit too soon to estimate a release date, but we both use 3dsmax in our real jobs and this is speeding up things..we will keep you guys informed)

2-if you install this mod you'll find our 3d contents in the editor :) also we will give you all our 3d scenes so you'll be able to change our buildings and other stuff according to your modding needs (maybe we will also write a few specific tutorials after the first map release...)

hey, neat, a full feathered custom contents mod! let me know if you run into problems!:)

thx wille, we might need a little help for some script changes :grin1:

here is another updated pic of the first house. what we are doing now is working on the basic texture set that all houses will share, bricks, stone, plaster, whatnot so we are in a bit of a startup phase. once the textures are out of the way, making diffrent versions of houses will probably be quite fast! well...fast compared to..I dont know..

we are also trying to work out whats the best way to do the terrains are..we are looking at both making them by hand or in something like terragen...
