Improved Aimpoint view?

After running through it, I noticed the window for the Aimpoint is, well, off.... It's too restrictive in it's optic view. I actually prefer the Aimpoint compared to the EOTech, but since the view is better with the EOTech, then I of course use that. Is there a mod or so that fixes this problem?

No, there is no mod out yet that fixes this, although I agree there should be. Part of the problem I think is that the Aimpoint is just mounted to far back, at least for my preferance. If it were to be mounted about another 6" further down the rail you would get a much less restricted field of view. Mounting of a red-dot scope though is something of a matter of personal preferance, some people like to mount thier Aimpoints right up against thier eye as if they were a magnifying scope to get the best field of view through the scope itself.

Still man, it shouldn't be THAT BAD as it is. I would figure if you remove 50% of the surrounding black, then it'd be okay. It's actually recommended to move it as forward as possible, to avoid any "tunnel vision" and allow the eyes to have a better field of view. I mounted mine just forward of the slip ring, but even on the SCAR, where it's at, should be a better view.

By default the Aimpoint is designed to be fired with both eyes open..but I have mine mounted on my personal M4 pretty close to the charging handle...but like the other dude said....it is down to personal preference. I think the whole "weapon customization" effects of this game has MUCH left to be desired.

True, I think it boils down to engine limitations or realities. The game is great enough with what's available, though I wish you can mount more stuff on say, the MR-C, it can use any other accessory such as the vertical grip or M68.

Yeah, I've only started back on these forums since I got GRAW, and figured there would be some mods to get to enliven the experience. I think this topic should end now, since with the 6.8SPC SCAR-L mod, I've really had no problems, it's as it should be now ;)

I wonder if it would be possible to add another attachment point to the weapons farther down the rail, and then make scope attachments that go to that mount instead of the default scope mount. Then in the inventory selection screen you could choose between a closely mounted scope and one mounted farther down. It would also be very nice to be able to mount like a handgrip on the MR-C ... my hands always hurt a bit when I see my guy holding the bare rail mounts on the gun.

A second scope mounting point further down the rail would be awesome. The SCAR doesn't have those huge rails for nothing after all now does it. An aimpoint or holosight would be awesome.... But, alas, I think we must wait for more dev tools for that one. (i think...)

Maybe three for like the MR-C, where the mounting for the modded SN-3 is a bit forward IMO, but then again, haven't used it yet so don't know if it will make a difference, but I agree, various positions would be cool.

I use Bushmaster BMAS rail guards on my M-4, they are rubber instead of hard plastic and very nice on the hands, even though I use a vertical forgrip. Lushy comfort aside, I know M-4 rails get damn hot if you fire enough rounds through the barrel ... I imagin the MR-C would have the same problem.

Two scope mounting possitions on the SCAR (L and H) as well as the MR-C would be really nice, but I agree we would probobly need the dev tools (or at least more documentation) to re-work the attachment helper points on the 3D weapon moddels. We would also need to create two identical scopes I think, one that would mount on one point and another to mount on the second. It may even make it possible to mount two scopes at the same time ... though normaly the only reason to do that would be if you have a MNVD scope like an AN/PVS-14B, which would not be of much use in GRAW.

Given the amount of rounds you do have to put through it in GRAW they would be necessary. Nomex gloves only work for so long :) Besides it's recommended to use the vertical grip when the weapon does get too hot, but then again, I never used one anyways.

Yah, it looks like your GRAW Guys are wearing Nomex flight gloves ... but still ...

I have a vertical forgrip and I do like it quite a bit, but I still find myself cradling by the mag well very often - usually when I'm behind cover.
