The Editor + Game Settings

Recommended Posts

I see that we are calling the -editor.xml file for when we are running the editor (before I noticed it, I was doing it the old way by renaming files, heh). That's kinda neat because that gives us quite a few options.

Before I even look into it - I want to have this knowledge shared for others.

So.

Is there a way that we can change our editor-specific settings. For example: While in the editor, I don't want any sound. This way I can run MP3's through my PC if I want, or I can talk to my buddies on teamspeak/ventrilo without interuption of the game's sounds. How about window size? When I run the editor, I manually go in and set it to run windowed with only a 1024x768 resolution - where I normally play fullscreen at 1680x1050.

Just some ideas. I think I know how I'm going to have to do it, but I figured I'd might as well post this up incase others were wanting to do the same but didn't know how. (Re: I'll prolly post my method in the next 30 minutes or so)
