JasonFMX 0
I am pretty much addicted to this game. I play it more than any other. At first being there was no GR2 to slowly give us a transition from 1-3 I must admit I swore at my monitor many times because the first one was just so easy and this third one is is many many times harder. Honestly, I still think it was a little too hard. Jumping, a little too far too quick, becuase I downright hated the game for the longest time. I only continued to play it becuase I spent money on it. Especially the no quicksave thing. Don't even get me started on that. But since I forced myself to play the game eventually I got ALOT better at it. (lets face it, this is the hardest game out now). Espeically when you play COOP and thers no saves at all. Thats exactly what I continue to play it so much, becuase it can't get boring. Or at least not any time soon, beucase the missions are so long and difficult. And now that my skill has improved many times over, when I'm in SP I dont even notice the checkpoints becuase I dont die nearly at all (thanks to COOP). Now I can focus more on my tactics of playing the game better, rather than struggling to survive. Making new goals for yourself. The AI also changes, or at least it seams too. So even memorizing where everyone is changes once in a while and gets ya when you dont expect it. As long as mods keep coming and new patches to keep updating this game I see myself playing this for a very long time. I simply can't stop playing it. Degamer 0
I love the iron sights. Ever since WWIIOL forced me to use iron sight only, there was just no going back to rets. The enemy AI is fantastic, one of the top AI i've seen in a long while. The immersion factor on the weapons, from the modeling, the effect of your bullet stricking concrete, and the EXCELENT sound work, is all top notch. I like the fast roping and helo inserts (but wish we could skip it if nescasary). Full body awareness is kinda neat, if gimmicky. I like that higher calibur rounds will penetrate different materials. In fact, I would like to see GRIN do more with that.
thr0tt 0
I think this game stands out for me. not many other I go back and try again time after time, the nme AI can be brutal. With the mods coming along nicely it makes eah experience a new one which is good. I wish other games had more of a realistic feel rather than pumping a whole clip into someone before they even notice ala CS:S, BF2, PREY, etc. etc.
CkZWarlord 0
- What I really like is that the communication between you and others is well simulated for SP. Big plus. - The AI is tough. - I like it how you can command your team members to do stuff. Although I do miss some things there, but that doesn't really matter. - The graphics are OK (they would be good if it wasn't for the ridiculously high system specs) - I like the supply lines idea from DM, too bad it turned out like CTF. - Sound is good (although I'm missing the thud that made my crap my pants in GR when you got shot, just doesn't have the same effect here). - The editor looks like something I might dabble in, in the future which is a huge improvement over GR's Igor. Well done GRiN.
79TransAm 0
Personally I think this game is better then [Ghost Recon]. The enemy AI is really good compared to other FPS i have played and I also like how you have to master commanding your squad if you want to be sucessful. On the mission fierce assult there are 2 enemy tanks. I took out the first one and went on about the mission. Later I had no choice but to face the 2nd tank. I commaned my squad mate to an area and to attack the M1. When he got set and the M1 came into view I ran across the courtyard to draw fire. I slid behind a building only to hear an explosion, at first i thought it was me but i soon realized that it was my squad mate lighting up the tank and i thought it was amzing that I could plan an assult like that and have it actually work. This game is probly my favorite millitary fps behind operation flashpoint. The game is not perfect, but none are
CkZWarlord 0
"master commanding your squad if you want to be sucessful" uhm, no you don't... you only need your squad members when you need them to fire a ZEUS for you, thats all. For the rest you might as well just tell em to go chase scantily clad chicas... But then again, I do like one-man-army-ing a lot.
Tortfeaser 0
OK, I am damn impressed when I give my team an area to cover. Each man goes and finds cover, not just concealment, but COVER - a hard object capable of shielding the man from incoming rounds, and then orients weapon in the direction I gave. sometimes real troops don't do that as well as the AI! Judge_Recluse 0
This game seems like you can do both equally. The first time I played through the SP, I pretty much did everything, up to a point. I used the AI, but mostly to see if they would get shot in an open area before I ventured out there. The second time I played, I forced myself to use the AI, and found it easier than I thought it was going to be. The only problem I had, was the AI not recognizing the Mounted Machine guns as the enemy and just standing there, but this was limited, as later I always tried to flank them instead of taking them head on. You can definatley play the game either way. IMO I found using the AI much more my style, but still found myself being Rambo in some situations.

I agree w/ your analysis. you know, in real life you can also make the mistake of beinga rambo, but sooner or later a crusty E-8 (if you are lucky) will pull you aside and have a talk with you about force protection. I have had to concentrate on using the troops in a fair way, with me taking point every now and then, but my problem was understanding the interface. I am still working on that. Hacksaww 0
I love the realism of the weapons. Reloading sequences are as realistic as they really could be, accuracy is correctly modeled, damage is pretty good too. The enemy AI is very tough at points, if not too tough. But, I think it's good that way.
