Judge_Recluse
I played Flashpoint but this game is not have real environment. Too many open spaces. It's about Flashpoint. But forests in Flashpoint are terrible! Let's talk about GRAW. I guess your only choice then would be to join the military yourself. Games just arent good enough for ya. When you join in Russian military you will understand that it's not exactly military. Sometimes it's not a military quite. I don't want to talk about it. Don't ask why. Hockeystick
Ok, we are talking realism here. Hm, then 'WWII Online Battleground Europe' is the way to go. Quite new actually, but it looks like crap, but man it's realistic. Ok, I haven't actually played it becouse you have to pay subscription every month, but according to the swedish PC Gamer: - "Privates knows that it is difficult to stay alive and still more difficult to kill someone." - "Sometimes it's almost to realistic." But I stay with GRAW Edited June 29, 2006 by Hockeystick

RLT-Olegrus
So, why we have GRAW not like as [GR]? What does it mean? That means: 1 - why principal features like hand, leg, head injuring, injury motion, prone "hard-to-turn" motions are not allowed 2 - why we hadn't classic [GR] game modes when game relized 3 - why we have a raw game with many bugs 4 - why GRAW so fanciful: 4 soldiers vs ARMY of terrorists (do you like Hollywood blockbusters?) 5 - and principal question: why GRAW is Ghost Recon? I hear ya Olegrus, I was just trying to make a point. The point being that, games are called "games" for a reason. And the only "game" that comes close to real war is operation Flashpoint. Remember that games was made in 2001, and was never meant to be a graphical accomplishment, eventhough its not that bad. Wille, will we have the Nuclear Clogs added in the next patch? Also, i know the game is made for a wide audience so the porn addition would be in bad taste, but could you atleast ask Desmond to add the porn music to the game? nothing like sitting next to a building waiting for an enemy and listening to a funkadelic, acid trip inducing shag music. Whoa, whoa, whoa! Don't dismiss the idea so quickly, JR. What happens to a wounded soldier when they go to an aid station or field hospital? I think I feel an expansion pack coming on: Ghost Recon: Night Shift Nurses.
Hockeystick
4 - why GRAW so fanciful: 4 soldiers vs ARMY of terrorists (do you like Hollywood blockbusters?) Army, *phht* you're not faced against more than 20 enemies at a time. Besides, the 'Ghosts' are not the only American soldiers there you know. Atleast I had alot of support from the AI, with ex. Tanks, helis, and some infantry. 'Ready for Bear', 'VIP2 is down' 'NORAD on the line' etc. It's not that unrealistic. There's one thing to remember when you run into a sequel/remake/whatever that you don't like: The original is still there to enjoy and there's nothing the "new" version can do to change that. Poita
When the reason there would be no limping was explained to us by Bo i personally felt very patronised. To me the fact that you limp and there fore move very slowly is a serious consequence of being shot, not as bad as dying but limping and having an impaired aim is a serious consequence. I like that, we like that, we like inflicting it on others and we like the fact that it could be inflicted on us. Those 'serious consequences' are what made us love GR1. Now, to be told that we are losing the feature of limping because different slides etc would be more preferable is exactly why i felt patronised. We can have fancy sliding or we can have a bit of realism (ie getting shot impacts a players mobility) but we can't have both it seems as it would multiply the amount of anims needed. Therefore the desicion was made for us to lose limping and add sliding etc. The desicion was made for us but it was the wrong desiscion. It was form over function, bells and whistles over realism. Basically the reality based gamers have very few shooters and the hollywooders have loads. We made a reality based game very poppular then some hollywooder publisher bought the company and converted our frnachise into just another hollywood shooter. Now i know how honest to god ghetto rappers feel when all the upper middle class types like puff daddy step in and usurp their lifestyle to make money. (ie acting like a ghetto punk when you are really a upper middle class Rodney.)
Hockeystick
The punishment of being shoot has been discussed so many times already and the current effect won't suddenly change cuz of the nagging. Let's just hope GRIN does something about it. They are probably aware of this "issue". Edited June 29, 2006 by Hockeystick
Cangaroo.TNT
Okay, go back to my initial suggestion: Change the name of the game. It would be a simple fix to be included with the next patch. Perhaps a better name would be "Punky Brewster and Webster's Roller Rink Xtreme."
