Also for camera movement. Q & E moves the camera vertically down and up respectively.

For selecting objects that are already in your map you can hover the cursor on the object that you want to select and hit 'b'. Saves time in searching for it on the list.

To force a static object to be placed that wouldn't normally fit just hold the right mouse button for a couple of seconds. Use sparingly though and only when absolutely needed.

Does the 'b' function work with props and static objects?

Yes. But with statics all you have to do is left click the existing static object and it is automatically ready to be placed somewhere.

So is this correct...

"B" KEY = re-selects initial selected prop

I would check this right now but I'm at work... and I don't have a map editor available. :P

  • 2 weeks later...

Hi all,

I am trying to select multiple props at the same time with the cntl key per Wille's statement but can't. Anyone else haveing the same problem?

thanks,

Obmana

You wouldn't by chance be confusing props with Props (brushes)?

The tutorial that was installed with the patch explains in detail how to select multiple brushes in the list by holding downt the control key while you click.
