calius 0
On Tape: Rep Won't Let Customer Quit AOL http://www.nbc10.com/news/9406462/detail.html Listen to the coversation above. I always knew AOL were shoddy with software being hard to get rid of but this is plain awfull. Either that or the rep was due for a pay rise, or his "stats" were low that month ... or ... it was his last day ... or .... AOL are just simply that bad. It makes me agry just listening to it, what an ######.
element11 0
One day when you calm down ytour going to realize i was just trying to help you, and it was in your best interest to listen to me. I hate people like this! Apparently AOL said that this behavior was inacceptable, and the Rep John, was fired, and apparently they can do better. Edited June 24, 2006 by element11
calius 0
Clearly another power hungry bottom feeder. What goes around and all that, im sure "rep boy" will get a blast of his own slow but sure.
magnumkp 0
I'm sure it's just a token gesture from AOL, I'd imagine the staff are told to try and keep the customer at all costs and the guy thought he was doing his job. However, this time he was being taped for TV so it's all suddenly very different.
2nd Ranger 1
I'm sure it's just a token gesture from AOL, I'd imagine the staff are told to try and keep the customer at all costs and the guy thought he was doing his job. However, this time he was being taped for TV so it's all suddenly very different. Exactly. Of course they are told to try and keep the customers. This guy went a little overboard, but yeah, he thought he was doing his job, and he got fired for it. AOL needed to make someone the scapegoat. That said, for the past three months AOL have been billing me £5.00 for a service I haven't used in five years, so I hope they all die in freak yachting accidents. calius 0
so I hope they all die in freak yachting accidents. .......................... ............................................... he thought he was doing his job, and he got fired for it There are so many ways to do that too try and keep a customer, this particular rep was ... well ... crap. Theres valuing a customers loyalty and all that, but then theres desperation, not listening, patronising and just plain rude. This was all of them on that reps part in this case, was like he had a gun to his head! I think if anyone of us was on the recieving end of that we all would be angry. Theres not much to save in a customer who is basicly saying .. I dont want your service anymore thankyou so please cancell my account.
