zulater 0
Would'nt you have to re adjust normal tele sights to be zero'd in for both eyes open to work properly ? Yep i sure hope someone mods the sight view to allow the surrounding area to be slightly out of focus when zoomed in. no. you're still using your eye behind the sight to aim with. FA sear 0
Would'nt you have to re adjust normal tele sights to be zero'd in for both eyes open to work properly ? Not at all. Pistols are also shot with both eyes open. When you first start shooting like this, you will feel like you have double vision, but as you become accustomed to the view, you instictively begin to only see the "dominant eye view" that you are using. Soon you will only see the sight with your dominant eye, and the confusion of "which sight is the one that you are aiming with" completely disappears. I suppose it's to your preference in the game... like you commented on in REAL LIFE there is so much more.. it's hard to capture the dynamics of what is seen second to second... That is a very legitimate point, and you are right about that viiper. I just feel that the first better represents what I see in real life because FPS often have limited peripheral vision when you are using optics of any sort. I guess the discussion should really lean in the direction of what may emulate real life best, based on the limitations that we all know any FPS has. Good discussion. rifter 0
A couple of things have bothered me. #1) it seems like the red dot is a little large... The ones I have used, were a little smaller on targets at 100+ yards. (8moa vs 4moa dots?) #2) You always see 1 scope, but I know that jpoints are going over to Iraq, and some get mounted at a canted angle off the side, or can be mounted on top of the "scope". So, your M16 all the sudden becomes very effective at 200 meters, as well as CQB capable. I am surprised that they have not modeled at least one of these methods of being able to have long range and short range on the same gun. In GR, you have the sniper rifle for long range, and that is it, while I know an M16 is deadly at 200 meters... and set up right, it can reach 600 meters (though, I doubt standard issue military ammo is truely lethal, or precise at that range).
