AUY2K Posted March 29, 2003 Share Posted March 29, 2003 Has this ever happened to any of you?? I am currently playing a campaign on elite. I just finished “The Swamp” level. Well, during this mission I had two squads of 3 soldiers each. Alpha took the eastern camp with no problems. Bravo took the western camp and then took out the northern camp except for the lone look out who is surrounded by sandbags. Bravo then moves over towards the house with the enemy officer. I then moved Alpha over also for backup. All of a sudden Bravo opens up on 1 tango while I am still moving Alpha into position. I assumed that the tangos would stay in the house…they didn’t. Next thing I know (I am in control of the rifleman in Alpha Co. running point) all of a sudden this tango comes running right up to me like he doesn’t even see me – this guy is right in my face!! Needless to say I was SHOCKED. I just had enough time to bring my rifle up and took him out. Just as soon as I took this guy out there was another tango right behind him and I took him out as well. This has never happened to me. I was so taken and surprised that I just started laughing. I thought for sure I was dead. I ended the mission without any other problems. Zantar45 Posted March 29, 2003 Share Posted March 29, 2003 Something like that happend to me. I was playing Emabassy on Elite with one man, no TI and friefight. I took MP5SD+Claymores for my Demoman. At the start I went prone, put one in a T's head and turned to 3 o clock and gave one to another T.I started to crawl along side the brick wall to look around the wall and pop the other T's, but as soon as I started to look a T ran right into me! I quickly switched to FA and gave him his dues and then as I crouched to reload 3 more T's ran right from behind the Van and I gave then a little gift as well. after I made sure that no more unexpected company would arrive (claymore) I check my map and see red-quickly turn to get the drop on whoever was behind me, and I hear *PLAT* I got killed by a T with a pistol! NYR_32 Posted March 29, 2003 Share Posted March 29, 2003 I once had a tango practically follow me for awhile, I turned around to see where my teammate was and I noticed two peeps behind me, my teamate and the tango, all three of us were crouched and walking single file, I said to my self who's this third guy, but by the time I realized it was a tango he had shot my teamate, I capped him and then started laughing, he must have been following us for a while, and only decied to shoot after we stopped moving. Cavalier Posted March 30, 2003 Share Posted March 30, 2003 This is why I love this map. there's been a few times where I've literaly ran into the enemy. thank god for auto-fire! One of my favorite things to do on this map is postion my bravo team (with three people) and my charlie team (with two people, one a sniper) at the southern most edge of the swamp that is south of the east island, and run up and shoot a couple of the lookouts with my guy in alpha group, then run back and get prepared. I have all groups hold, and have them set on recon, then we wait... "till ya see the whites of their eyes!", then I hit the '9' key, and we open fire on them. I aim in a random area I think they might be and I launch a grenade or toss one.I blows up and I hear about 5 AK47s and 74s go off, thus giving away their location. The other day I did this and I hear gun fire, then see the status?kill text? show that after I launched a 40, they fired randomly and killed each other. LOL BTW, on Iron Dragon mission (caves) when you get Papashivalwhatever, and you go towards the extraction area,you crouch down and walk behind him and aim your gun at him and walk forward.The Russians will see you and not fire, because you have a gun to his head! I stood there for 4 minutes with my gun to Papiwhatever and they circled me and him but didnt fire.Basicly you hold him hostage and push him forward while they wait for you to move away from him-AND I DID THIS IN ELITE. Maybe it was a glitch maybe not, but I recreated it with superman password on and they didnt fire.I even turned it off and they did nothing. *note, you can only do this with one man-yourself,otherwise they shoot your buddy or your buddy kills them* Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
