Poita
I was wondering just how many, or just what percentage of potential GRAW PC customers have held off due to the reported issues or merely like myself because it won't run on current hardware? Must be a bit weird for the UBI number crunching bean counters as the sales of PC GRAW must be subdued due to all those locked out. Then again the amount of people who pick it up in time cause their pc can now run it must give it some longevity. I think many of us 'hold offers' are willing to shell out for GRAW but we are not willing to shell out for the hardware needed to run it, especially when it seems to have many issues, restrictive mission area, no team dm etc. If the issues get resolved in the big patch to come and the reports come in that it's great in team dm then im sure many of us will go for it and upgrade so we can play it. Some others though will just wait until a need for an upgrade just happens to come alone thenthey can playi t anyway. A thread here isn't scientific but it will be interesting to see how many of us who can't play GRAW are still dropping by GR.net
FatmanDaz
Still visiting, primarily to keep up to speed on what's happening with GRAW. Like yourself I can't play because my rig isn't capable - 5950U gfx card. However, having initially decided to wait for the proposed June patch to make sure the key issues for me, MP play were resolved, before upgrading; I am actually now considering not bothering at all. Big decision for me as my clan are moving ahead full steam with GRAW, although they are expecting a lot from the patch to make it playable. But at 39 with a family I have to approach this with a touch of reality and a £600 upgrade for one game doesn't make sense as a priority. I've waited, like everyone for this game. I played [GR] from day one and was gutted when GR2 was canned but it's starting to look like the end of the road for me.......
semperfi_bohica
I'm waiting to see if they fix this MP (tvt) issue with a June patch...I don't play games for the SP side...So there is no point to buy, as it's common knowledge that Bo and Grin really let the community down with the current MP (tvt),,, I have not heard from any one who is old school GR1 that likes Bo's Domination mode....Perhaps Bo & Grin will fix it...we will see, if they do, I will buy. I have not faith b/c (1) it is ubi and (2) this is all the info todate we have and we're two weaks from June... Can we expect new additions in a near future? Ubisoft will support GRAW for a long time after release. You can already expect new additions to the MP modes in June thanks to a completely free package including Deathmatch, a map editor and new co-op missions! GRIN turn my frown upside down! KRP 56
I haven't bought it although it will play on one of my PC's. It just doesn't have enough gameplay mode content to justify spending $50.
_ST
I have held off buying GRAW until i see the MP aspect cleaned up a bit, i only play MP so i might aswell wait until the patch comes and see what people think of the game then before i buy. Ghost9
I bought it with the hopes that MP will be expanded upon. But even if it isn't, I'm still loving the game.
FA sear
I tried downloading the demo again last week and it is still crashing. My system specs are more than enough to at least run the game, but for whatever reason it won't. I'm not spending 2k on a new rig just yet. viiiper
I bought it with the hopes that MP will be expanded upon. But even if it isn't, I'm still loving the game. It will be expanded on, It's been said by GRIN several times on this website
Malleus
I'm holding off purchase for three reasons. 1, Waiting for the June patch/addon to see what it fixes/improves/adds. The game is not quite worth $50 in it's current state, but has a lot of potential. 2, I plan to get a new graphic card soon, so I rather wait until then to be able to maximally enjoy the game. My current PC plays it fine, but only with everything set to minimum. 3, It's still not available here. Local stores still don't have it. Poita
Wow, the general tone so far seems to be with me. It's nice to go with the flow for once but it's a pity about the circumstances. Gosh i wonder just how many sales have been lost due to the double whammy of no tvt (yet0 and it only running on higher graphics cards. Just a wild, intuitive guess here but i'd venture that a full 50% of the potential sales never happened for the reasons discussed so far. I bet there has been a lot of returns too from casual gamers who didnt study the min specs on the box and found it wouldn't run. We all had a lot of faith in GRIN and in some ways, for some reason i still do but it seems like a massive oversight to think that instead of the tvt we'd be more pleased with a domination mode, talk about not getting your target audience. When you decide that key game play features can be added sometime later in a patched then somethings messed up. Aw hell, we waited six years with a massive false alarm half way, a month or so more i can manage but like fatmandaz said. It's pretty close to the end of the road for me too. Night-Hawk
Waiting too. Prior to release I was really looking forward to buying GRAW. I thought it would replace the aging Raven Shield as my favorite MP tactical shooter. Obviously it does not. Unless they fix A LOT and I mean A LOT of GRAW's issues including both Gameplay and Technical issues I doubt I'll buy it. If they do, I'll gladly pay for it. PrimusPilus
Hello all! Just would like to chime in here and say that I am waiting as well. With myself, I have never purchased a game new, ever, not once, nor will I. I believe as a consumer that when I pay for something, it should be complete. I have been checking these and other boards quite a bit to see issues and to see if those issues are going to be fixed. There seems to be some co-op flaws which I would like to see fixed, there appears to be some engine optimizations that need to be fixed, also there is no confirmed report of modding tools yet. These are three issues that would need to be addressed before I and my co-op friends decide to purchase this product. I believe in not shelling(sp?) out my money for a game until a product is done, until I have read reviews, until I have researched the feedback on the boards and until I have tried the demo. I have played the demo and it's tough to decide. How shall I put it? It doesn't seem to have the GR feel. No other way to describe it. I'm just not sure yet if it is for me. One thing I do not do, and you will never see me do, is buy a game on release and then come and whine about it, God I hate that lol! My answer to people like that is always the same: "You bought the game, you did not do your research, tough, suck it up or take it back and learn from this mistake," but people never seem to . Oh well, such is life. PrimusPilus
jay316
Im waiting too, wont be buying it until/ unless GRIN gets it right in the patches to follow.

Amoo
I was one of those that was going to "wait n see". I played the demo and liked the "feel" of the game, and I had read that sp side of the game was great. Add these to the fact that local Best Buy had the game for $49.99 CDN, I went ahead and bought the game. So far so ggod, I like the Sp game. Its hard but satisfying. MP? I have no idea, cause can't connect through GameSpy, yet. I say, if you liked the demo, you'll love the SP side. However if you want MP, then I would wait. babydave
im not buying yet because i want to see if the current issues are fixed with this super patch because its only worth playing at a decent frame rate and as a finished game, not a beta and to do that ill have to upgrade....which i wont do if the game stays in its current state.
