Hatchetforce 0
http://www.gamesradar.com/gb/ps3/game/news...§ionId=1006 The 20GB console won't include an HDMI output, which means that it won't be able to deliver high definition pictures. But perhaps more disappointing is that wireless bluetooth controllers won't be supported; instead, gamers will have to make do with retro-style wired-up versions of the increasingly controversial PS3 pad. In addition, the lower-end model also lacks WiFi and the slot for Memory Stick Duo cards included in the full-spec PS3. A Sony representative on the show floor at E3 also emphasized that gamers won't be able to upgrade the memory of the 20GB version; if that's the PS3 incarnation you opt for, you're permanently stuck with a 20GB memory limit. Amazingly, Sony big boss man Phil Harrison, in a BBC interview earlier this week, insisted, "What we should be clear about is that the functionality is identical in both machines. There is no difference in what the machine does." Unfortunately, the actual facts seem to suggest otherwise.
Deadpreacher 2
How about this, Publishers Concerned About Unfinished PS3 Hardware Publishers like Sega and THQ are getting restless about Sony's apparent inability to finalize the PlayStation 3's hardware specifications. THQ even killed a planned PS3 game based on The Sopranons because it would be "too risky." Publishers Uneasy Over Lack of PS3 Info Bloomberg reports that publishers such as THQ and Sega are on edge because Sony hasn't offered up finalized technical specifications for the PlayStation 3. Plus there is this ( Im still not so sure on what to think of this yet ) Sony celebrated a decade of VAIO innovation at the way-out-of-the-way Guest House club in NYC last night. There were, of course, some more recent vintage products on display like the Sony VAIO XL2 Digital Living System but the true stars of last night's event were Blu-ray, a new Blu Ray VAIO (the AR). On one table Sony execs proudly displayed two ARs playing early Blu-ray content: The House OF Flying Daggers (below). They even had the Blu-ray packaging. So exciting...but WAIT! I went ahead and ejected one of the Blu-ray drives to see my first Blu-ray disc. Instead, I found a crummy, old school DVD+R, complete with the Sharpie-written, House of Flying Daggers. Apparently even Sony can't get its hands on Blu-ray content! Link More Pics These are afew days old, but i wanted to see how they turned out. So far everything seems to be all true. BornToKill 0
Futher down the list of comments some-one states the VAIO on the left was demoing the standard DVD format against the one on the right which was running blue ray.
Hatchetforce 0
Futher down the list of comments some-one states the VAIO on the left was demoing the standard DVD format against the one on the right which was running blue ray. Turns out it didn't use a real blu ray disk. Sony was bsing about that as well.
Rocky 1,224
I heard the What we should be clear about is that the functionality is identical in both machines. There is no difference in what the machine does." bit on the news so I am a bit disapointed to see it's BS!
