cyberradical
Did you see the following news on the GRAW website? "You can already expect new additions to the MP modes in June thanks to a completely free package including Deathmatch, a map editor and new co-op missions!" If you know more details on what new features will be added in the MP modes in the planned June patch, tell me please. As many people say, the current MP is a mess, and I really hope it would be competitive to Battlefield2 and other successful MP FPS.
Strapt
Did you see the following news on the GRAW website? "You can already expect new additions to the MP modes in June thanks to a completely free package including Deathmatch, a map editor and new co-op missions!" If you know more details on what new features will be added in the MP modes in the planned June patch, tell me please. As many people say, the current MP is a mess, and I really hope it would be competitive to Battlefield2 and other successful MP FPS. Do you think its a mess in terms of gameplay or a mess in terms of it not working properly. I thought it was ok (in the few games i managed to actually get into) and I dont really TvT. I got the shock of my life when I installed BF2 and realised it was all TvT and not much else, took me a very very long time to get used to it. Would it be too late for GRIN to implement some kind of voice comms in a future patch? Voice comms and the ability to spot enemies are the things that made BF2 appealing to me, the rest was just foolishness IMO, but fun nonetheless. I don't want to see a BF2 clone or anything, can do without the enemy spotted spam that goes on. Some might say we should spot and tell teamates using voice comms, but I don't always play with people who speak english. The good thing about BF2 is that you can say what is where without having to utter a word. The one thing i didnt like about multiplayer was the Unreal Tournament-like voiceover. To me, that just didn't fit in with the game at all. May as well have just used that narcom thing instead. I guess I'll just have to get used to it One more thing. I was on a first floor ledge looking down on a guy (in multiplayer). I unloaded on him using full auto in two long bursts ...and hit nothing. He just looked up at me and double tapped me. Now if I'd done this to an enemy in the SP i'd have killed him (or knocked a teamate over if I'm shooting my guys to test how powerful the gun is). But this guy didn't even flinch but yet dropped me in two shots.

Skidmark
Voice Comms ? The game is enough of a resource hog as it is. Just use Ventrilo or Teamspeak. The game doesn't need its own voice communication software. Edited May 14, 2006 by }PW{ Payback
cyberradical
How about - dedicated server support (plus ASE support) - voice chat - more easy-to-understand text chat (with different areas for shot status and info exchange) - rank system (plus unlock weapons) - more detailed score report - medic support (for healing) - etc. These points are what I want to be implemented in the June Patch to make GRAW competitive to BF2. VeLocityChaos
What im worried about is the anticheat. If and when we get it. The game is going to become even more of a resource hog. I really want anti-cheat in this game, but Im worried how they are going to develop their own program without bogging down the game more than it already is. Everything else looks good, after looking into the quick.bundle file abit more you can see that they already had deathmatch planned as its mentioned in the .xml a few times. Prodigy
I personally dont like the voice comms, as Ventrilo and Teamspeak are out there that can do the job very well, and I don't want to hear all those kiddies yelling and whining on it like on CS:S. *RWG*Jackal
- dedicated server support (plus ASE support) Sure wouldnt hurt anything. - voice chat There ahve been numerous polls about this and they all come out the same. The majority dont want it. - more easy-to-understand text chat (with different areas for shot status and info exchange) Depends. - rank system (plus unlock weapons) Once again the overwhelming majority of the GR community opposed any type of rank system. - more detailed score report Sounds good - medic support (for healing) Another that the majority opposed. - etc. People that enjoyed GR enjoyed it becaus it was nothing like BF. You wont find many people here sympethetic to any ideas that would make GR "more" like BF2.
Silentwolf
i agree jackal, BF2 is not what we want! ranks and medics STAY AWAY!
LiberatorEbola
i agree jackal, BF2 is not what we want! ranks and medics STAY AWAY! Amen to that. Medics have not ever been in GR, and people are already complaining that GRAW is too different, why would you want to add something to further that difference? I love this game, I love the feel, it feels like GR to me, I don't agree with them, but I think medics would be a bad idea. Same with the BF2-style promotions and weapons.
