Zantar45 0
Rock is a understatement, you must've crawled out from under a planet.(over exaggerating) The game has been out for a few months, it was given out for free to those who reserved it off the US Armys website, but I have seen some copies at my local electronics store for about $13. I have never played it myself, I got a copy but my sound card doesnt support it , so I have tried to pawn my copy off on friends and they dont want i either. Now I have a colorful frisbee I have heard its a good game, and something like you have to qualify to use other weapons or soldiers I think-even for online play. just my uninformed opinion. firefly2442 0
It's mostly a multiplayer game. You need a broadband connection to play though. I'm waiting for the single player that they'll release later.
Dark Ranger 0
I've played AA a bit, and it is a pretty cool game. I only got up to the Marksmanship Range though, cause I lost the demo when I reformatted. However, I will probably purchase the SP version as quoted by Firefly. Daywanderer 0
Pretty good, if you're into squad-based tactical multiplayer. The game has been out for a few months, it was given out for free to those who reserved it off the US Armys website, but I have seen some copies at my local electronics store for about $13.It's still free, as long as you're willing to put up with the relatively large download. It's mostly a multiplayer game. You need a broadband connection to play though.Works fine on my ISDN I'm waiting for the single player that they'll release later.I haven't heard of a single-player version of America's Army: Operations, but I know the "other half" - America's Army: Soldiers - will be a single-player game. Soldiers, however, is going to be some sort of role-playing game where you lead a soldier through a military career by making various choices.

firefly2442 0
@Day - I think I saw somewhere on the forums that bots are included. You can activate them but they just stand there and don't do anything. I'll bet that they add some kind of bot support later which would be nice for us 56kers.
RooK 0
Last I heard, you could walk into your local reserve office and pick-up a copy, and no, you don't have to sign up for service
