We've got to trust GRiN...they listened to the TDM/TvT folk and they're going to get their gametypes. We know they're reading our posts and that they also want to support us as well. (just trying to boost some morale as I slink back to the GR1 co-op servers still running) I'm quickly losing faith in GRiN. I SO want to like GRAW, but I'm not seeing much. Like you, I spend most of my time in [GR] or BF2 nowadays... and I'm finding it less and less an appealing thought, to swap the GRAW disc in and re-install. I honestly feel I'm not missing much. And I'm not holding my breath for this next patch. I think July/August is going to sound a lot like late August. If it ships in July it probably won't include what everyone wants, and that will drive even more people away since GRiN has built up this next patch. The letdown could be fatal. But by late August I doubt people like me will bother re-installing just to try the latest patch. I'll be playing [GR] + whatever holds my fancy (perhaps BF2+expansion packs, or perhaps that new Star Trek game coming out....) -jk Callsign 3Point Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Papa6 Posted July 27, 2006 Share Posted July 27, 2006 I'm sure the swedish guys at Grin can relate seeing how Sweden are the pioneers of supressors. The Swedish military I've learned uses them alot. But what makes a supressor is the baffles. please refer to the picture below. Now supressors aren't silencers as most think. they just supress the noise and the gases within the baffles of the supressor leaving little identity of the location of your position. things like muzzle flash...and if the noise is supressed, it is harder to know exactly where you are. Remember, the more baffles, the better the supression. but.. by golly stop calling them silencers! I'd like to see more support for COOP missions myself. For example: there is a resupply helo in almost all of the missions. Now if resupply helos could bring reinforcements i.e. the players who have died prior to that point. This way if someone dies he'll be joining the action when, and if, the rest of the team reaches the resuply point. I Love this idea! Best idea I've heard for respawning. This is actualy an excllent idea. This way X-numbers of people could actualy play an entire campaign together. Now all GRIN needs to do is make the coop game "save-able" so that the same players could go to sleep at night and pick up the game at a later date. I still play the old Ghost Recon...but look forward to the newer games (GRAW, GRAW2, etc) once I get a computer with a little more horsepower. THanks for any replies.
