Mods Question

Recommended Posts

I am in the process of uprading my PC so I can play this game. Right now though I have been downloading some mods so I don't have to waste time later downloading them when I have my system up and running to play GR. (I am going to make a cd-rom with all the mods I have downloaded).

My question is this:

Once you import these mods into the regular game - is there a way you can switch them on or off? or will you have to delete them if you don't want them loaded into the game? For instance if I change the uniforms or switch the regular Ghosts to some other country's special forces unit can I switch back and forth between the two when setting up campaigns or do I have to delete the modification if I want to go back to the regular Ghosts?

Also I have downloaded the following mods (please add to this list if any of you think that I would enjoy anything else.):

10MM AUTO MAP PACK 1 -MAPS

BATTLEBORNE MOD V1.0 MAPS

FL-AVA 1.4 MAPS

HX4 FORT CHAOS –MAPS

STANDARD UPGRADE - weapons

WAR OF INFAMY 2.0 -WW2 WEAPONS AND SKINS MOD

WAR OF INFAMY 2.1 - WW2 WEAPONS AND SKINS MOD

12 WEEKS MISSION PACK 4.0

RONSKI DS SNIPER MISSION PACK

KR MISSION PACK

NGRU CRAZIES DS MAP PACK

NGRU CRAZIES GR MAP PACK 2

SBTO-GR V1.8 (mission pack)

Thanks for any help.

You do not have to delete each time u want to switch. under the mods section in the game u can activate or deacvtivate the mod. if u want to in the middle of a campaign it won't affect the campaign. i have the following mods

Standard Upgrade (weapons)

Nevyns sniper missions

Phantom Mod v2

snipers Challenge v1

USMC MMCU Skins

Madneds sp missions (quick mission games...lots of fun)

Abandoned Buenos Aires Map(cqb)

Hello AUY2K, and welcome to the Ghost Recon Forums, part of the best site on the net for GR! ;)

Here are the MODS I use:

Navy Seals v2.0

Free Libya AVA 1.4

Sealz Harntrox 4

SOTOPlaster's SPV4

Earl's Standard Upgrade v1

Alfa FSB's General Enemy Realism Mod (always have this activated)

There are many great mods in the GR community, however, these are the ones I enjoy most. Again, welcome to GR.net.

I believe you want to select options from the main menu. When you get the options screen there will be a Mods section. In the mods section all the mods you have put in your Ghost Recon mods folder should appear. Desert Siege (assuming you have it) will initially be the only "mod" that appears in the actve section in mods. You can select one of the mods in the deactivated column and hit the activate button which will move it to the activated column with Desert Siege. Most Mods like to be high in priority. You will notice an increase priority button below the active mod screen. With the mod you just moved to the active section highlighted hit the increase priority button, then hit the accept button.

It is generally a bad idea to activate two mods (other than Desert Siege) at the same time. Once you have activated the mod you want; it is advisable to close Ghost Recon and start it back up, this gioves the Mod a chance to get totally activated.

You should repeat this procedure each time you want to change the Mod you are running.

You should also be aware that some mods were written prior to the Ghost Recon update and some are from after. Mods may or may not run well with a version of Ghost Recon that they were not written for.

I,m pretty new too and learned these things the hard way, good luck!
