WhiteKnight77
I know most of y'all like weapons mods and that is something that is a personal preference, but I have a dislike for them. While a well done weapons mod is cool, what really turns me off to them is the fact that dozens or even hundreds of weapons are added to the game. That may be fine for some people, but there are those who actually abhor having to page through so many weapons to find something they may even want to consider trying. I myself, find myself going back to the developer made weapons as they often seem better even though they do not look better. My suggestion is to create a weapons mod with 4 or 5 weapons that are accurate and look good that will not get passed over. If someone does not like those weapons, they can skip using that mod altogether. This would appeal to those who dislike having to many weapons to choose from. Scubaman3D
Seems fair enough. I would only like to see maybe a handful more anyways. A semi-automatic sniper rifle is all I REALLY want. Other than that, more customizible options on the existing guns and readjustment of the some of the guns attributes would keep me happy. For example, adding a supressor on a gun would not change the acuracy of it as much as it does in GRAW. Also, fully automatic weapons simply do not fly up to 45 degree angles during sustained fire. snared_gambit
I think why so many weapons end up in games is because people want to see "their favorite" in game with a certain sight, suppressor type, rail system, and the correct decal on the buttstock. In seven variants. It's ridiculous. I've always liked having enough weapons to choose from to arm each of my men with a different yet still extremely effective weapon, which sticks with them for the rest of the game unless a sniper rifle or something to that effect is needed. Adds a little personality to my soldiers, at least in my opinion.
SteelHack
I dont mind the make as many weapons as you want....as long as I can go in and edit how many I want to choose from. I know on GR....as the mods started coming...I had over 300 rifleman kits at one point...and I used like 3 of them. So I went in..and edited my loadout....and ended up with 8 total kits....of which I used like 3...but I added a few with C4 just in case a mission needed them. I had the C8 with both frags, and GL a silenced MP5 with frags, and C4 a sd m4 with frags a sd sniper rifle the OICW and the SAW HACK
sui317
when the weapon mods come i'd like them to be dedicated to one or two weapons, as you can add what is desired in game, i'd rather have 4 scopes to chose from rather than 30+ rifles with the same options like whiteknight77 said, i too find that i use only 3 or 4 weapons that suit the missions allready i find myself just using only two of the given 5 weapons (primairy) (mr-c and scar-H) maybe a c8 would be nice to have in game or m468 i would love a P90 though in [GR] there was tooo much of everything you did not use but i did like the dedicated mods like the scar mod and m468 mod for [GR] Edited May 9, 2006 by sui317

ashirat
don't worry white ... The wepon models are to much work in this game that there would be a mod with 100 different weapons .. i guess ,ost you will have to face will be something around 20 i guess . Just to much work for simple mod. If somebody goes forward with some total conversion thing like CS from HL then you might see more guns imo cheers
JASGripen
I loved many of the weapon mods for [GR]. Good job all who did it. But I want to send a plead to the modders around, please do research before you do the mods. My plead might seem uncalled for, but I would really dislike if THE major mod for GRAW happened to be a run and gun type of mod with unrealistic accuracy etc. Weight seems to be a factor in GRAW, good, take it into account, recoil, spread, distance between rear and front sight (i.e. aim). This might seem uncalled for, but now it is stated. ps, please no miniguns as personal weapon!
SunCat
And nobody tried to change parameters penetration of surfaces? That it would be impossible to hide from bullets behind a wooden fence more! P.S. Forgive for my bad English... I for one hated having to weed through a bunch of useless weapons.
isaac1976
The game already has both SCAR's wich I love. The only other guns I would add are the P90TR and the new US Navy Mk.14 MOD 0 EBR (SEI). As far as attachments I would add the new EOTech 553 L3 holosight. I would also correct the suppressor on the MP5SD6.
Forrester
Some extra weapons would be nice, but I know from GR1 that there were to many weapons, an a lot of them didn't work either you had to find a key.... watever that meant either they were not in camo/color. I loved the m4 sopmod (in Jungle storm) the OICW (original) and some sniper rifles (the canadian 7.62 and SA27/silenced) I rarely did use MP5's (in GRAW since you cant stand to close to a wall and aim smaller guns would be handy in indoor/ close urban combat) I would like som more grenades (smoke/flasbang etc.) and a simple rpg just for fun. pz3
It depends on how you configure it. Personally somthing like I tried to do with the M4 Sopmod mod... in Graw would be pretty sick, maybe 2 or 3 new gun slots... not much else as most of the attachments could be customised. isaac1976
The Colt M635 9mm SMG modernized with a rail system and A4 upper would be great additions as well as the H&K UMP 45. Edited May 17, 2006 by xIRONHEADx

I really like dedicated weapon mods and wish that the modders would create such mods for GRAW. After playing GR1 for so many years, it does get a little tedious clicking through too many weapons, although, at first it was great. I guess that newer players tend to like the multiple options a great deal at first, but then grow tired when they find their favs and have to click through all the rest. That happened to me at least. isaac1976
I think if we made alot of weapons for everyones taste; then we could somehow add a "custom" install option where you you just check the boxes next to the weapons you want.

Good point. Still: realism in the mods, please. I don't want to see any mods were the favourite weapon of the modder got no spread etc.

insane snyper
I really love downloading a new mod with 300 weapons. I have tons of fun playing with them for a few days, and actually I think the thing that is most important to me at that point is the sound of the gun, because back in [GR] guns didnt really have a 'feel' beyond the sound and the reticule. But then after a few days the novelty would wear off and I would select 1 or 2 that were the most effective, then add the useful kit numbers to a list I kept next to my computer. At some point we should put together a mod that is just a compilation of the 10 most effective weapons from all of the various mods that get released. sgt.hoot
my opinion on the mods is that they add value to the game because grin did a lousey job at giveing u wepons and there free reather than paying 15 for the 3 maps on xbox 360 =p
Marcinko
Make a weapon mod specific to the characters. NO US personnel us g36's, sa-80's etc etc.

philkilla
SF can get their hands on virtually any weapons system they want. In most cases they don't even use the standard M4's anymore.
sgt.hoot
yes very true, and in some cases they even use ak-47s rpgs p90s anything for the situation that there in that is why most commanders dont like em because there not the same as everyone else
Ballistic
While I'm sure the amount of weapons available to them is quite significant, they will use the weapons that give them the greatest flexability/lethality/interoperability and that which is fully supported logistically. The M4 has that, and if SOCOM decides to purchase more HK416 uppers they will have an even better system to go to battle with.
