HighGround 0
Did GRIN really give up on the forums or are they browsing as guests? Has anyone seen one log in?

When they get back you will see them post here again. While on vacation a couple have checked in here and posted occasionally, but their presence shouldn't be counted on at this time. *I wonder how many more times I'll have to say this before they return since people don't read the public posts that tells them this before they ever asked. *
DeanJP10 0
Yep, thought I read that before. Think they could have scheduled their Vacation after the Patch though.
Sup 0
Yep, thought I read that before. Think they could have scheduled their Vacation after the Patch though. ← Yeah, since after the whole 'weeks without sleep' period, when they finally got their game done they should have stayed working so that you could get your patch 3 days earlier. Think they could have scheduled their Vacation after the Patch though. ← Would have been better if Ubisoft got off their backs and let them finish the game beyond a Retail Beta. They themselves can't be happy with this being a released product, deadlines are never good for the consumer.
Druac_Blaise 0
Yep, thought I read that before. Think they could have scheduled their Vacation after the Patch though. ← LOL...work the schedule they worked to get this game out and then come back here and say that. They NEEDED a break in order to come back refreshed and address the patch and addon for us.
ZJJ 74
Think they could have scheduled their Vacation after the Patch though. True, but then there would be moaning as to why they left on vacation when they HAD to address the questions and comments from the fans about the patch. There is never a good time to take a vacation when you are in the developing business. What many people don't realize is that had been rescheduled at least once already so that they could be devoted to the game and fans. They aren't given credit for this, but are quickly criticized for taking a vacation, just because it is not when the fans want them to be taking it. If it was up to the fans, they would never get a vacation.

chilly-willy 0
****The questions below were posed out of curiosity only... I have no doubt they worked hard.**** Does anyone know the schedule GRIN actually worked to complete this game? How long were their long days? I don't think I've seen any real posting describing a typical day in the trenches at GRIN during the development of this title. ZJJ 74
Yeah, I know the schedules these guys kept. Many of them didn't go home for days and were lucky to grab a few hours of sleep on a couch or cot. It was not uncommon for them to still be work when I went to bed, and when I woke up, they were back at work again.
jsonedecker 4
Believe me... you want the dev team to rest a bit before working on a patch! Otherwise it could easily break more things than it fixes. Games are extremely complex and fogetting one little thing can have drastic effects. Lack of sleep an general tiredness makes people forget things. My memory is a little gobby, but I believe we broke the ending to R6 in a patch because someone mistakenly deleted a the trigger at the end of the biosphere level that essentially ended the game. All in the name of correcting some wierd small geometry issue that affected AI. -John

Just curious, and a bit jelious.
