Happyclam
Everytime a game ends that I host for Coop, I get this error where it says my cd-key was rejected. Anyone else getting this error? I am able to join and play normally with other servers. I only get this when I am hosting it.
Psi
Yup I think everyone that hosts (at least for COOP) when the game ends the host gets the 'cd-key rejected' message. Dunno if this is still the same when you have a dedicated server.
mwgfghost
Hi yeah this message pops up when I try joining my friend's server. It has never happened before. I've been playing the game for months or a year even and just tonight it says "CD0Key Rejected" when I try to join his server. When I host my own server it's fine though. And it is a COOP server. Any help would be much appreciated.
Dannik
A best guess, but it's likely some form of lag to either Ubisoft or GameSpy's key tracker that triggers during launch. Weird, but I've been ejected from BF2 servers with similar errors, mostly due to my system being a bit slow on load times. Synch errors, basically. Not sure if it's a bug, fluke, or design flaw (and I think bugs and design flaws are quite different beasts).
mwgfghost
Well if it doesn't stop soon, I'm gonna try uninstalling and reinstalling it. Just hope nobody stole my cd-key
Forrester
If you haven't given it to somebody you should be safe..... (maybe somebody built a key generator that looks for unused keys?)
mwgfghost
I definately didn't give it to anybody. And it doesn't make sense what-so-ever cause I've been playing the game for almost a year now and my friend has been the one hosting the servers. It was working good until now. And another thing that's messed up is I can host a server just fine and connect to the server list no problem. But when I try connecting to my friend's server, it give me the cd-key rejected message. And I can't try any other servers cause we both have the Task Force Wraith ACU mod. I really don't know how to fix this.
