Stinger
I am thinking about dloading linux. But my question is, why are there like 5 CD's for one version of Linux opposed to 1 CD for any Windows OS?
WhiteKnight77
Sounds rather bloated to me tho the files may not be compressed into zip files (cabs) like Windows is.

Tr4nC3R
I think you will find that there are different flavours on the disks depending on what you are installing it on. also there is apps on the distribution disks. So if its the illegal kind thats why. Otherwise just d/l the basic install direct from the original distributor. Hope this helps... Linux is capable of being installed on many systems as you know, and they cater for all with the distro's.The packages have to be specific . But if its an intel chipset you should find it straight forward to install.
